The buffet lunch only costs us RM28 per person. It serves good quality of Korean food, including bbq pork, bbq chicken, glass noodles, kimchi, pancake, and Korean rice etc. We love the food very much! They have plenty of Korean traditional clothes for you to wear and snap photos.

Been there twice for family dinner. If you like the Korean restaurants like Ssambap, AzaAza nearby, this is about equivalent in terms of menu, varieties, restaurant set up, waiters operating style, pricing and etc. The location is good, walking distance from Queensbay Mall, Eastin hotel, etc. No problem with parking.

Cho Dong Jib is located on the North End of Queens Street (Queensbay Mall food level). It is supposed to be part of a popular restaurant chain with its origin in South Korea. So our expectation on the food authenticity was high to begin with..The table is a stainless steel table top set on top of a barrel. Be careful where you place your stainless steel water tumbler (provided by the restaurant), it may topple because the surface is not flat and level. We ordered BBQ pork belly (samgyeopsal-gui, very good, cooked in kitchen), doenjang jjigae (way too salty) and steam rice. The side dishes tasted a bit off. The celery and spinach dishes tasted distinctly Chinese. The beansprout dish does not have the usual sesame oil aroma typical of Korean beansprout side dish. Only authentic tasting side dish - kim chi!My family eats at Korean restaurants a lot. And I have been on multiple trips to South Korea. My reference on taste authenticity is based on that.

My colleagues and I visited KO BQ in Penang early June 2016. We were a little surprised when we walked into the restaurant and we were the only guests. Not to worry: within an hour almost every table was filled with happy, laughing guests who were enjoying their friends and families, and very much enjoying the terrific Korean cooking available here. I think this is be a great restaurant to share with your kids; there's enough variety here that even the fussiest eater will find much to like. Miss Park served our table, and recommended a few very good choices. We have beef with vegetables, a chicken sautéd in a spicy Korean sauce with vegetables; an exotic looking grilled fish, plus lots of Koreas wine. There was a corn pancake thing that was surprisingly spicy, a tempura vegetable dish that was irresistible and of course kimchi, which I love. When I return to Penang, I will return to KO BQ!
