This is a place to take visitors to Japan. Eat in a private room with a view. Your server wears a kimono and comes to the table on bended knee. There is a pit under the table so although you are on tatami, your legs will not get cramped. The presentation of the tofu is delicate, colorful and always an ode to the season. Imagine many small, pretty dishes to savour and take your time over. More women than men love this, especially for a special lunch with friends.
