This place offers a Japanese and a Chinese menu. Strange... but if you have a large family with different tastes, perhaps it would be attractive.I had the Shrimp and Chicken Hibachi. I didn't sit at the Hibachi tables, so I didn't watch the preparation. The ginger dressing for the salad was a bit too sweet. The main dish had good portions of chicken and shrimp. Unfortunately they came soaked in a brown sauce that I assume was supposed to be for the vegetables (Chinese style!).Three sauces are offered for the Hibachi. Good idea, except that I didn't care for two of them. One was too spicy.Service was attentive and timely.In conclusion: if you care about quantity and you have never been to Benihana, this place would probably seem OK. A bit cheaper, as a matter of fact.Me? I will stick to Benihana.

My husband, myself and teenage daughter went to eat at Ninja Sushi, which we have in the past. We ordered sushi and fried rice. The sushi came quickly, as did our soups and salads. We asked about my daughters fried rice and were told that we never ordered rice. When we told them that we definitely did and my daughter even got her soup and salad, they said that they will put the order in. When it came we were done and we asked them to pack it for us. We asked for plasticware, so she can eat it in the car, they said they didnt have any. I asked to speak to the manager and he never offered a compensation. I that asked what can be done for our inconvenience and they took off $2. Never did we get an apology from anyone. Will never go back!!!

It's the best Teppanyaki style cooking I've had outside of Japan. I have had the Scallops, Shimp, Lobster, Wagyu Steak and regular steak. I have yet to be disappointed in my experience. The only issue I may have is that they give you too much noodles. It fills you up before you get to the main courses.

Nara is a new Hibachi place in West Bloomfield. The food quality is good and the Hibachi chefs know what they are doing (recognized one from Benihana!) but the service was really slow. We waited 55 minutes before the chef even arrived at our table to start cooking.

We checked out Samurai for lunch. Our two bento boxes gave us a sampling of tempura, teriyaki, california roll, and shumai. The portions were fine, the food was adequate, just nothing special. The soup that came with was supposedly a kind of miso, but it was dark brown and tasted only like salt -- it was not edible. There was no salad that came with the boxes, unlike other similar places. Service was a bit slow though it was uncrowded. The prices were fair for lunch, but I would not waste money on similar food at dinner prices.

We recently found this restaurant that is very close to my home. Maybe it's newly opened. They have various menus including Asian, Middle Eastern and American foods. Sushi was better than PF Chang and Filetmignon was better than J-Alexander's. And they didn't give too much rice. But the only issue was their service. I asked him if I could get double amount of vegetable instead of sweet potato fries. He said it's modification of food and there is a surcharge. I just wanted vegetable and vegetable instead of vegetable and sweet potato fries.

We are constantly bombarded with coupons for sushi restaurants, we just throw them away. We won't even try another restaurant. We live Mene Sushi! It is the best! We won't even try another restaurant, no need to. If it isn't broken there's no need to fix it!

This place is so Japanese that you will forget you are in Michigan. As is the nature of Izakaya the place offers an extensive selection of Sake and beer. The reasonable priced menu is full of creative treasures that surprised and delighted us. This is NOT a sushi/Teriyaki/Tempura place and they do not offer it. Go for the extensive 'special' menu, it is full of amazing creations.The service is superb, attentive and responsive.

Having been recommended to Sharaku by a Japanese lady this was my first visit to a Japanese restaurant I wasn't entirely sure what to expect.Luckily our server was very helpful and gave good advice, the food was excellent and the whole experience very enjoyable.I can thoroughly recommend Sharaku for a great Japanese experience, the restaurant is easy to find and there is plenty of parking available.

We came on a Groupon, but found it wonderfully delicious! It's in a good location, pleasant atmosphere, clean with good service. The food had good size portions and was very tasty. We ordered sushi -a couple different types , teriyaki chicken, & chicken fried rice. Verdict....we'll come again.
