味噌煮込みうどんが名物の創業昭和８年の老舗の様です。地元の友達にランチに連れて行ってもらいました。駐車場は店の前と横、裏にも第二駐車場にも10台ほど停められる様になっていて、さぞかし流行ってる店なのだと思いました。ランチメニューの丼とミニうどんのセットを頼みましたが食べきれないほどのボリュームで980円とコストパフォーマンスもいいです。お味もしっかりとした麺で腰もあり出汁も美味しく玉子丼も天丼も美味しかったです。店内もとてもきれいな和風で良かった。注文はタッチパネル式で少々戸惑いました。

南紀周辺であまり見かけない高層の立派な建物です。広めのバルコニーからは正面の真西の方向が海で、海に沈む夕陽の眺めをくつろぎながら満喫できました。大浴場も海に面していて、露天風呂からも海を近くに感じられます。今回素泊まりで、館内での食事はせず、外で買った弁当を部屋で食べたのですが、館内は数階おきに電子レンジの設置されたコーナーがあるので、温めて食事ができたのがうれしかったです。

Very popular restaurant that was at capacity at 6pm on a Tuesday, we chose to wait an hour to get seats and it was worth the wait! The sashimi sets are a house speciality & presented beautifully, layers of fish arranged over crushed ice in bamboo buckets. It has an open kitchen so you can see the chefs hard at work, slicing/dicing & grilling meats & fish over charcoal.Family friendly & would advise booking in advance.

2016年8月18日白浜のホテルで1泊して、その帰りにトリップアドバイザーに写真が載っていなかったパン工房Lolieの写真を取りに行きました。そのすぐそばに丸長があり、私が外観と入口の写真を撮影していると、ここの女将が出てきました。トリップアドバイザーに写真を載せたいと言うと、中に招き入れて、ペットのクエのはなちゃんの写真を撮らせてくれました。更に、驚いたことに、トリップアドバイザーのことを、知っていたことです。この店では、釣り堀で釣った魚を調理してくれたり、シーカヤックのガイドツアーもやっています。店内の店員は、若い女性が多く、女将がクエを触って後に、即座におしぼりを差し出すなど、従業員の教育が行き届いていることが分かりました。みなべに帰る途中で、パン工房で、パンをすでに注文していたことから、食事することはしませんでしたが、快く、店内の写真を撮らせてくれて、色々と説明をしてくれた女将の懐の広さに星5つです。

新庄のグルメシティがある敷地にあるよし平さん。何度も見かけてはいたのですが入ったのは初めて。天ぷらってなんとなく敷居が高いイメージでしたが、ファミレス風の店内で揚げたてわテーブルまで持ってきてくれました。よし平天ぷら膳でお味噌汁が+100円で田辺名物「ひとはめわかめ」のお味噌汁に変えられます。せっかくなのでひとはめわかめにチェンジ。しゃきしゃきの食感が良い具合です。天ぷら膳の内容はエビや梅どりに魚、野菜の天ぷらでわりとしつこくない良い味です。卵の天ぷらをご飯の上にのせてお汁をかけるとTKG風に美味しくいただきました。ご飯を食べ終わる頃合いに忘れてましたと言って店員さんがカボチャ天ともう一品野菜の天ぷらを持ってこられてちょっとビミョーでした。

After a 30k hike along the Kumano Kodo trail I was looking for a place to relax and some food. Kumanoco delivered anything I could hope for; good honest Japanese food, great atmosphere almost like a hostel and great staff that spoke English well. Highly recommendable!

Cannot say enough about my experience dining at Shinbe. My guesthouse operator recommended it and I am sure glad he did. Dining alone, the lovely host sat me at the bar. From there I got to watch the expert chefs prepare all sorts of dishes. The place was packed with families and groups of friends which made it a lively experience watching people. I'm not sure if it was family run, but it felt like everyone knew and genuinely liked each other. I had the sashimi platter which was excellent and the fried eggplant. They had an English menu which was nice and the staff were most attentive. A group beside me encouraged me to try some sort of water snail and shrimp balls, both of which I would recommend.

i've been to tons of Japanese restaurant and this one is really good! Each dish was delicious, fresh and beautifully presented - a true delight. the homemade vanilla ice cream was amazing! the host was extremely resourceful about kumano kodo pilgrimage walk and speaks perfect english, japanese and cantonese. i would recommend this place!
