Reviews on Japanese food in Syracuse, Province of Syracuse, Italy. Once one of ancient Greece’s most important cities, today Syracuse (Siracusa in Italian) is a lively town of about 125,000 on Sicily’s southeast coast. The city overflows with amazing remnants from its long history. Romans, Vandals and Normans are but a few of those who ruled here after the Greeks. In Syracuse’s harbor, Ortygia Island (also called Città Vecchia or Old City) is the site of many of the main attractions, including the seventh-century cathedral and the Fountain of Arethusa.

MOON's kitchen is made for curious and careful palates. Ours is a social kitchen where guests can, at any time, ask how the dish they enjoyed was made so that it can be recreated at home. Our menu offers new surprises every day; we respect nature and that
We are not vegan; however, the atmosphere was so good with piano player we decided to give it a try. Service was excellent and food was to. My wife had a tempura vegetable appetizer it was excellent. I had a nice salad with almonds and lasagna both were good. Service was best we had in Sicily and we were there for three weeks.

At the basis of "Dakoky" there is a deep-rooted passion for Japanese culture, its traditions and for that 'ideal of excellence that characterizes. Dakoky is an innovative sushi bar and comfortable designed for lovers of kitchen giapponese.Ideato for those
Our general experience for Japanese food in Europe outside of highly Japanese populated exceptions like Dusseldorf has been disappointing, and it seems there is no correlation of excellent local food tradition vs standard of Japanese restaurants even in Spain, France and Italy. In Syracuse - this is again the case. For the price of great sea food grill in local Sicilian restaurant - you only get mediocre performance on sushi rice, sashimi freshness and none of the sides are in authentic recipe. The only logical explanation on the positive is that this is the place for locals to come to a trendy bar, drink with friends, take some sushi as snacks and taste something alternative. For this the restaurant does serve the purpose, the ambient is nice and the host is friendly.

A lovely seafood restaurant in Ortigia, slightly off the main tourist drag. I tried both the Japanese and Sicilian dishes and all were great. Slighlty expensive (tuna steak â¬20) but the quality and portion sizes were excellent. Nice decor and efficient service. I've visited 3 times in the past 7 months and I hope to return again soon.
