Possibly one would not expect a quality Japanese cuisine in this city, but over the last few years, Patos de Minas has more and more citizens and visitors with taste for something beyond the basic local cuisine and who are willing to spend a little more money than they would at a "boteco". And Masedo does a very good job of fulfilling the wishes of those who are looking for a little more sophiscated offering.The house offers quite a few a la carte options, but also 2 options of all-you-can eat - one more complete including tuna fish and shrimp and some salmon options, and the other without these, but every other item from the menu. Also, important to note that this place only opens for dinner - I'm more used to having Japanese food for lunch. But there aren't enough consumers for the lunch break - yet - as in BrasÃlia, a much larger city, where the best Japanese eateries also open for lunch.So, I went for the more complete all-U-can-eat, my wife, who eats less, went for a la carte. Is it great or best Japanese food I've had? No, but it's definitely worth trying. The fish was not quite as fresh tasting as some of the best I've had, but considering Patos' distance from the main markets, that was no major surprise. The miso shiro didn't have tofu, as my wife expected, and had noodles, which she didn't expect. The shimeji was good, but a bit bland. The highlight on my huge, personalized sushi platter, were the flamed tuna and salmon sashimis. Another very positive aspect was the attention given by the young owner (whose name I forgot to ask) always ready to make sure everyone got what they asked for. At one moment I asked for wasabe and ginger and he said he didn't automatically bring it to the table cause still only few people request it. Which means Japanese cuisine is still in relative infancy among guests in this region.I will certainly return to Masedo on my next trip to this city, which is where my wife was born and still has family.

Com o acréscimo de sashimis diversos ilimitados, além de porções de camarões e outros tantos, o rodÃzio do Shangai que já era bom ficou melhor ainda pelo preço superior, mas sem quantidade máxima de peças por pessoa. Tudo fresquinho e muito gostoso, num ambiente reformado e no qual melhorou bastante o sistema de exaustão da cozinha, impedindo o cheiro de fritura no salão das mesas de serviço. Recomendo!

Fui ao restaurante em uma terça-feira, e estava tendo uma promoção de chopp da Brahma, a R$5, e um dos rodÃzios (mais simples), a R$59, do qual participei.Achei interessante porque a comanda vem divida em entrada, pratos principais e sobremesas, que você marca o que quer e a garçonete, pede ao sushiman.Gostei muito, pois o peixe é bem fresco, as peças tem o tamanho ideial e o arroz é uma delicia.O ambiente é muito bacana e com funcionários educados e atenciosos.

Não há muito o que dizer sobre o lugar. Restaurante do tipo self service comum, sem um carro chefe ou prato imperdÃvel. Variado sim, mas não nos agradamos por completo. Não sei se foi o horário, um pouco mais tarde, já estava tudo meio mexido. Não nos apeteceu muito mas, nada que desabone o lugar.
