Find out what Japanese restaurants to try in Nur-Sultan. Designated the capital city of Kazakhstan in the late 1990s, Nur-Sultan boasts a landscape glittering with new architecture and construction projects as the government infrastructure continues to be built. Old and new quarters of the city are divided by the Ishim River, with older, Soviet era structures on the north side while the governmental quarter and monuments like the monolithic Bayterek Tower spread out to the south. The central Avenue of the Republic is a hub of entertainment and business.

A very nice place with good food. I recommend the tables where you can fry the meat youself in the center of the table.
Very pleasant, sophisticated setting, courteous and prompt service. Extensive menu including lamb, beef, pasta, fish. Sauces, veg extra. Bar available.Angus beef available but expensive. My T-bone was rare as I wanted but pretty tough although flavorable. Other diner had very good sauce on the veal and mushrooms but found the veal also not very tender. T- bone came with lovely and unusual for here, side of arugula.Pleasant easy to listen to music. Sadly smoking seems to still occur inside in one corner but we were cautioned away from that area.

Location of the place is perfect, right next to where I live. and it happened to be the best pizza I ate in Astana. It is fresh pizza and you can watch it for yourself while they make it for you. Certainly I will come back again and again! keep it up! Thank you.

Cafe where you can enjoy the Japanese home dishes, and feel the sence of Japan with the Japanese books and musics.
Though the menu is pretty limited, the meals are truly delicious. Having tasted several dishes, all of them presented authentic Japanese cuisine! This small cafe is totally different from the variety of japanese-wannabe restaurants in Astana and it definitely exceeds the expectations. They are moving to a different location and I can't wait to visit the new place. As a suggestion, it would be awesome to have authentic Japanese ramen and gyoza in the menu :)

Olivier restaurant is known for its superbly cooked popular dishes of European, Russian and Asian cuisines, diverse bar menu, convenient location and stylish interior design. Residents of the capital now have a place, where they can come at any time night
Very nice, upscale, trendy bar and restaurant. Quite average, Europe level prices so I guess quite expensive for Kazakhstan. We really loved their cocktails and starters which we enjoyed for lunch. I mentioned to our waiter that it was my husbands birthday and it turned out that they had a 20% discount for people celebrating their birthday (ID required), which was very nice. They even brought a piece of cake! Nice experience all in all, even the hostess or a manager came to wish him happy Birthday which was very nice and super professional! One small remark, though. As we were paying, our waiter told us that tips are not included although the bill certainly mentioned a 10% service fee. This felt a little strange and a bit sneaky. I guess he didn't realize that I do speak and read Russian!Either way, we had also reserved a table for the evening for dinner and had very nice time. Although our steaks were a bit dry, we do recommend to visit this place and especially to try the pancakes stuffed with veal as well as their cocktails. Amazing! Again, special thanks to the hostess/manager. She made our meals absolutely wonderful. She's a true professional!Dear Kristina!Thank you for sharing your comments and for choosing OLIVIER for your birthday celebration! It is a true pleasure to acknowledge the fact that you enjoyed our cuisine, atmosphere and staff.Your words have been shared with the team and they are sending you their warmest regards!Looking forward to serve you again soon!Sincerely,OLIVIER

Your favorite family restaurant! We opened for you the most warm and inviting family restaurant. Restaurant, where every corner is surrounded by greenery, creating an atmosphere of a perpetual summer. The unique interior design, nursery, excellent service
The dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) were the best I've ever had (not usually a fan) and the eggplant appetizer was excellent. The vegetarian we took was happy. The decor is pleasant. Sadly my Uzbek fried lagman type dish was "meh", and I heard no raves about anyone else's main dish.

This chain store is lacking in ambiance (unless you love eating in a loud, fluorescent-lighting location). No beer with the fried fish platter? I will not return. The atmosphere reminds me of dining in a commercial mall. The sparkling water seems fine for the family with two toddlers sitting at the next table. The food was decent.Good afternoon! Thank for your feedback! We are sorry that didnt exceed your expectations!Hope that u will return once again! Our apologies for long response!
