Famous for the best Ramen spread. Cosy tiny place. Lovely food and hosts. Must visit again and again.

Three of us shared the edamame, the fried chicken which was delicious and a crab with seaweed and wasabi sauce dish that was extraordinary. Then we each had sushi which was good but standard. Atmosphere was nice with large booths that are private and small tables that are sort of out in the open area.

The sushi/sashimi platters are overpriced, have low quality fish (tuna looks like watermelon and salmon tastes like nothing and is almost colorless) and there's no rice/salad/soup. On a 14 piece sashimi platter it was salmon, tuna, "white tuna" and some fake crab thing for $30! The tempura salmon roll was fully cooked and tastes like canned tuna. When I called to complain and asked for a credit, they argued with me after telling me they would credit me!

Since Midori opened a branch location north of Princeton, we had not been back in some time. But it is great to report that the sushi, maki rolls and service are still very good. The only time you will have no waiting on a Saturday night is in the summer when Rutgers is break and many regulars are on vacation. Rest of the year, reservations are suggested Friday and Saturday's.There is plenty of street parking and a couple of town lots nearby. Midori is BYOB with Pino's wine shop a couple of blocks away.

This is the only place I go for sushi. We normally go with 8 or 10 people and have a "sushi orgy." Jun, the sushi chef is brilliant. We've been going there for years, and he knows what we like. He always creates something special for us. One of our regulars only eats vegetarians, and he makes special meals for her. Just tell him how much you want to spend per person, and he'll give you a meal you won't forget!
