Inaba Wako Narita Airport

My girlfriend and I had breakfast here today (Nov 22, 2015 - Sunday). They served us great tasting tonkatsu which is very different from what I have tasted from my home country. After finishing breakfast @ around 10AM and leaving the restaurant, we looked around a few shops and was suddenly alerted to a running girl.Apparently, I forgot my IPad and passport at the table. The waitress went out of her way just to find us and return the items. There were a lot of shops around and we've been walking for a while. We were mesmerized on how she was able to find us.I'm very thankful for the integrity of their staff and how they responded to the situation. I wish I could have thanked the restaurant properly.

We were looking for a halal place to eat at the airport before our flight back home, and Googled this place. The restaurant is on the 5F level in the food court area, facing the runway. All I can say is OMG!!! Who knew you’d find such a gem in Narita? The udon was out of this world and the tempura just sublime. Now back home amconstantly thinking of this place, desperate to go back to Narita again, whatever the excuse!!

Edokkozushi

‘Edo-kko’ means the lively people who lived in Edo (previous Tokyo). Edo-mae sushi is a type of sushi served in Edo and still popular in Tokyo. Although this restaurant is called ‘Edokko’, it lacks the lively atmosphere of ‘Edo’ (Tokyo). Never mind, it’s in Narita, that is a long way from Tokyo. Previously they used to reheat a piece of cooked anago (a family of eel) and tamago (thick omelette) slowly on a griller. As it tasted so good, I went back to this restaurant. But they didn’t do it any more. The chief chef bluntly said that the ones they serve now was quick and good. So my friend ordered raw oyster, which she called ‘oyster milk’. Then, we ordered ‘tamago’, unagi (eel), ‘kazunoko’ (herring roe), akagai (ark shell) and a few more ‘neta’. I paid 3,520yen, while my friend paid over 5,000yen because of the raw oyster. I wouldn’t be bothered to go to this restaurant again. It would be a lot more enjoyable to go to a sushi restaurant in Tokyo, where we can enjoy edo-mae sushi in the lively welcoming atmosphere of real ‘edo-kko’.

The Airport's managers know what kind of things you're looking for and you don’t have to go far to find them. You may have some difficulties since they don't label very many things using the English alphabet. If you can find an English speaker to assist you, it will be a really big help. Tourists usually go for seafood flavored “ramen” soups, or ginseng tea as they may believe it's either good for the heart or helps you lose weight. There are a lot of sweet desserts and pies to tempt you, but you'll be taking a chance on your choices since, again, there’s no explanation in English. I recommend that you take home a couple packs of “corn tea” (good for the digestion), but I'll select an assortment of Japanese rice cakes. Bonne continuation!!! (All the Best)

Opens at 11:00 but we walked past at around 9 where you can see them slaughter and prepare the eel. The eel is cooked on charcoals and melts in your mouth. The pickles are home-made as well! Try the fried whole baby shrimp, they're a delicious snack! A little costly but worth it

Narita is your gateway to Tokyo. Upon arrival or departure from their international airport take a quick trip to the center of town. Visit the Narita temple and walk around it’s sprawling tranquil grounds to imbibe that Zen feeling. Next door to the temple is undeniably the best place to have Narita’s famous grilled unagi. Tender, flavorful and distinct. All that plus the health benefits make this dish a must try!

We visit here often and we love it. The food is delicious and our toddler delights in all the airplane memorabilia!! The staff are so friendly also. If you are heading down to the temple from Narita Station via the main Street, you’ll come across it on your right!! Best Ramen and their fried rice is amazing too! Enjoy!

Cozy spot just down the hill from the Keisei line train station and across the street from the grocery store. It’s located on the second floor just up the white painted external stairway.Plenty to eat at good prices. Gioza, French fries, chicken, and fried veggies. The beer is very cold. If you are looking for a bargain and to get stuffed, this is your place. If you only have a short time in Narita town, there are many other spots with better food or more variety.Space is limited so get there early.
