It is located north of Pearl River, south of New City, east of Spring Valley, and west of West Nyack. It is located midway between Manhattan and Bear Mountain, 19 miles (31 km) north and south of each respectively; and 2 miles (3 km) north of the New Jersey border. It has one of three Rockland County stations on New Jersey Transit's Pascack Valley Line. The population of Nanuet was 17,882 at the 2010 census.

Great service with a smile. The Hibachi was a lot of fun. The cook did a wonderful presentation. They did a nice job with the birthday celebration made her feel very special. The food was great. Most of us had the steak and scallops.

Our neighbors took us here for our first sushi experience many years ago. We've been going regularly since and haven't found any place to match the sushi anywhere. We've had their special rolls but stick with the spider roll, super dragon rolls and eel rolls . Those are our favorite. Normally we take out but sometimes we stay. Lunch is a great deal and i recommend if you are on a budget.

I love sushi. Had already been to the Pearl River version and gave this a try. You can eat all you want, but must check off little squares on separate order sheets as you go. All pieces prepared to order and the miso soups hit the spot on a winters day. For $20.95 plus tax and tip, you can't go wrong.

Rockland County has many sushi restaurants, After having visited most of them I can attest that World Sushi has the best tasting sushi. It is a small location and the service is not great being that it used to be a takeout only restaurant, they haven't quite mastered the service portion of their business; however if what you are looking for is the best tasting sushi with original fusion creations then this is the place to go. I'm a bit of a sushi fanatic and I have friends that will travel from Manhattan where there are a thousand sushi restaurants just to eat at World Sushi.
