I attended a dinner on 9/12/19 and it was not good. It was my niece's birthday and I was there with family. First the food was sub par(salad lettuce brown, soup was horrible) and the service from our wait staff was less than sub par. I and my wife sat on one side with people not from our family and pretty much got poor service. No water or soda refills, sloow wait staff and to top it all off after paying for my meal (which was given a 10% tip because of our large number) found out this morning that i was charged the wrong amount.(luckily i still have the original reciept). My bill was $72 and I awoke this morning with a charge of $146 on my bank card. This is unacceptable. I have been there several times but after this, I will not be back . Sub par food, Sub par service, wrong charge = DON'T DO IT! Also there is no corporate office locally to speak with someone to challenge this bill. This is ridiculouse. I am truly disapointed. I spoke with Amir and he is currently arguing with me on the phone that they only took $72.85 when my account says $146.37 debited from my account. Again DON'T DO IT! DON'T DO IT!This gentleman was upset that his financial institution put a charge on his account before the transaction settled in excess of the cost of his meal. KOBE responded the following morning after he emailed the corporate office. Emir talked directly to his financial institution and they agreed that the charge was unsettled and could change when settled. Emir agreed to refund the $72 immediately or $146 if that was the amount that settled but this did not satisfy our guest as he wanted the full amount of $146 immediately and threatened negative reviews on social media. Repeated phone calls and messages in subsequent days to find the settled amount were not answered. Thanks for your review!!!

Our order taker was nice! The soft shell crab was breaded thickly. Delicious soft shell crab is lightly breaded. The house salad with it was fresh and had a good dressing.Their mango salad was fresh and mango slices were sweet. The vegetable Tempura was not oily. My other friend was pleased with the yellow tail. One Green Tea Mochi dessert had thin glutinous rice which was very good. Unfortunately, the other mochi had thick glutinous rice.

Sushi Ai has several locations in the greater St. Louis area and one coming in O'Fallon, IL. The offering is full line Japanese with an all-you-can-eat sushi option for lunch ($12.99) anddinner ($17.99). Some kitchen items are included in the all-you-can-
At first view, SushiAi looks like a small unpretentious strip mall restaurant. Not so, upon entering we were swept up with welcoming hostess and extremely attentative waitress. Appetizers consisted of vegetable tempura and blackened tuna. Both were ample portions with a quality second to none. We each chose a white wine which filled the goblet at least halfway and swirlled in the chilled glass. Entree was sashimi that accompanied miso soup and salad. Absolutrly one of our best experiences for a Tuesday night, or any night that will most assuredly br repeated.

We were addicted to the original and at one time only Wasabi on Washington in downtown St Louis...just moved back into town and heard that they are now everywhere, so had to go back. Went to this location and oh my how bad it's become!! The menu is so very generic and looks like so many other bigger city mall sushi restaurants. Rolls are unoriginal and the ones we ordered we couldn't even finish! The maguro sushi was dry and weirdly colored and our Geisha roll tasted off...one of the first times we couldn't finish our boat! The squid salad was the exact same product that I buy at Sam's. What was OK were the stuffed jalapeños and edamame. Our egg rolls came out dark and over cooked, left one of the three you get uneaten. Service was adequate but the server was unfamiliar with the rolls and cocktails...and by cocktails I mean vodka on the rocks. It hurts to write this as this was one of my favorite and most memorable restaurants...I am devastated that I have to check this off my places to dine...
