Try this place out for lunch on a recommendation from a friend. Not disappointed. Tucked away on a side of a strip center around the corner from Publix, this little place serves it up right. As usual, greeted by the door and led to a table. Theres fresh salads, one with sashimi and vegetables, and the American version with the all the toppings. Good selection of soups that you can custom build with cooked meats and fresh veg. Sushi choices are freshly made and not massed produced. Mongolian Bbq made your way. Around $17 for lunch, but no crowds, nice quiet atmosphere, and the restaurant is very clean.

Visited New Beijing for the second time but the first for dinner. They have your typical Chinese menu and the food while not outstanding is very satisfactory, the service is fast and you don't have to wait for a table. It appears they do more takeout business than eat in. You get a lot of food for the money. The two of us ate dinner for $30 including a tip and we brought food home. For a quick, inexpensive, filling meal you can't beat New Beijing.

We tried this restaurant once before and it was pretty good. This second time around it was bad enough that we'll never return. Very young waitress, about 18-19, promised that she had gluten free soy sauce for my sushi and then came out only with regular soy sauce. When I asked her about it, she nonchalantly said that she couldn't find any. She was going to just walk away. I told her that I can't eat sushi without soy sauce and asked to speak to the manager because as I had said earlier when placing my order, I had eaten here once before and they had had it. She returned ten minutes later, while I was sitting there starving, without the manager, holding a bottle of gluten free soy sauce with two drops left, essentially empty, and said the manager had said that I could just order something else. I didn't want to do that because the rest of my party was half way done with their meals. There was a Publix in the same plaza, still open, just steps away from the restaurant. When I suggested that someone run next door to pick up a bottle of GF soy sauce so that it was at least available for future customers, she said that her manager said no, that a waiter had bought it once but she didnt want to buy it for the restaurant. I asked the waitress to take my meal off the bill because I couldn't eat it and she said she would have to ask her manager. It was not removed from the bill and it was untouched. That was enough for me. Will never go back. And by the way, my family was not impressed with their meals. They all said that the sushi and dinner meals were mediocre. What a terrible way to run a business!
