Celebrated my daughterâs birthday and had an amazing fun night. The chef was hilarious getting us all to do tricks. The food was presented great! And it tasted great!!! Service was exceptional. Happy Hour in the bar downstairs is from 5-8pm. Drinks are 50% off. Ranging around 40,000. Really cheap!!! You can grab them from downstairs and take them up. Very enjoyable night!

My 3rd visit since 2014, at the exact spot I was here just 5 years ago, inside looks the same yet they have spruced it for upmarket tastes⦠you can see the various Japanese whiskey bottles at the Teppan!Walking in at 1pm, a group of 6 were just leaving and we had the restaurant all to ourselves till 1.30pm :) The other dine in area separated from the Teppan was occupied by a few other tablesâ¦I'd looked at the online menu which is the same except the physical ones are really worn down⦠I prefer the pdf!My wife ordered the Wagyu course which included a young Teppanyaki Chef "Juli" who cheered us with an updated repertoire of acrobatics and antics that entertained & is such a joy to experienceI chose the ala carte menu which was deliciousSalmon Croquete: so creamy & yummy YUMz x3 Camembert Cheese: this is a sight, I believe there is too many slices of garlic bread for the 3 slices of cheese and letting it melt all the way down delivers a thin crisp that's just right, if you've been spreading just the melted cheese it doesn't have that salted taste that the crisp had YUM x2Dobin Mushi: a mushroom soup with a dash of lime served in a pot & little teacups YUMzTuna Tataki - oh YUMz x2Spring Roll - not exactly what you'd expected, there are 2 twists yet delicious but more doughy than flaky YUMzMushroom Karaage: like Tempura but the sauce takes it up YUMzDefinitely the best places in all of Bali to experience a Japanese meal :)Hello,Thank you in advance for your review and trusting us as your favourite Restaurant. We have been coming here for 15 years or so, usually staying at Discovery and spending many a dinner at Tepan. We keep coming back because the atmosphere of the restaurant, against the fabulous Discovery gardens is beautiufl. And the food was second to none because the chef was Japanese. This trip unfortunatley (we've been told a change in Management?) we have been so disappointment with the food in both the KuKi Bar and Tepan. Calamari in both places you could have bounced off the floor; food overcooked and Tepan Chef is not Japanese (But we were told Indonesian) which is obvious in their efforts to create Japanese food. The meat and seafood (which was frozen!!!) were tough and overcooked and relied heavilly on a very sweet sauce to try and make something of the hot grill bbq. Never again. Sorely disappointment. Staff you can't fault - they are wonderful and personable. So, after reading trip advisor we decided go despite my small reservation: too many cuisines normally means not great at any individually.service was really good to start, food was good but not amazing: problem came when finished our meal, 1/2 table cleared of dirty dishes and didnât bother coming back. Then ignored, avoided etc: 20 mins later eventually we asked for and got the bill, no desert or other drinks offered: no understanding that table should have been cleared 20 mins previously. Seen others send back their watery margaritas I have no idea why people think this place is amazing, to me its average at best. Our second night at Tenkai for this week and this time itâs the buffet. Poolside beauty! Everything is just gorgeous - the setting, the cocktails (half price 6.30 - 8.30), the sensational food and the staff are absolute gold! We were looked after by Wintari and Evan who made us feel like honoured family!The tuna salad!! Omg! Best salad in the world!I was fairly dismissive about Japanese up until this week and it has suddenly become my favorite cuisine!Go! My boyfriend and I fancied something a bit different and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of Ikimura. Itâs a small restaurant but the quality of service and food is high. As it was our first time eating here the waitress explained the concept and was very attentive throughout our meal. The food itself was great, Iâve not eaten a meal like this before and it was really enjoyable, apart from a few gristly bits of meat. I would return here again but perhaps to try a different cut of steak. Thankyou so much for your kind words. we can't wait to serve you again in the near future. Have a fabulous day!
