This place is such a local gem. Real kappou cooking and prices very reasonably. You feel you are in one of the top kappou restaurants in Ginza but whe. You get your check you are presently surprised! I usually have their Omakase. With their special seasonal sake tasting menu. If you have a larger group, there is an area they can close off. Food is just superb and presentation very professionally done. I cannot recommend this place enough. As you see my reviews of the restaurants, I have eaten best places in the world. Wadatsumi can compete with them any day.E

THE FOODWe ordered Tonkatsu (a traditional deep-fried pork cutlet), it came on a plate with finely cut cabbage, a tomato, parsley and sauce and what seemed like english mustard. The side dishes it comes with are a bowl of white rice, miso soup and a pickled raddish and cucumber. The food tasted great, my girlfriend (from a restaurant family) liked their Tonkatsu alot. Green tea was provided, and we also ordered a bottle of Sake (Nihonshu - it tasted so-so), it came with sumami (cooked seaweed strands).VALUE: The menu is in Japanese, but roughly I think it said Tonkatsu was 1500Yen. Beer was 600Yen, though we ordered Sake. Our total bill for the two of us was 3700 Yen.THE SERVICE: This was great, the old couple working their were very polite and warm, constantly providing us with extra hot towels and green tea when we were running low. Even offering me extra salad when I finished my first helping, which I gladly accepted.APPEARANCE:It is a small narrow restaurant on the main street, easily missed as it is not overly bold from the outside. The front of the restaurant is of a modern take on traditional Japanese screen doors, but is easily missed if you can't read Kana. The sign for the restaurant is written in large white Kana characters on a black background and can be viewed from the road side, either: ã¨ãã(hiragana)ãã³ã(katakana), I can't remember which. Inside there are two options for seating, either in the back with a more traditional tatami matted room, with seating upon zabuton cushions. We chose to sit at the white counter, where the food is cooked in front of you. The restaurant looked like new; it was very clean. The atmosphere was quiet due to there only being a few other couples dining when we went (Friday 7pm), but was pleasant.
We were taken to this restaurant by a Japanese friend of ours, the restaurant is located on the 17th floor in the Kokubunji district not far from the station. The Japanese-style rooms are very nice and you can enjoy a beautiful view of Tokyo from the window. The main dish is tofu, but there is also a choice of meat and vegetables, all remarkable in traditional Japanese style Service is great and even willing to change the dishes on the menu the quality of the food is good I definitely recommend it
If you like hard and chewy noodle, this is the place to go. The soup is based on miso, so it is very tasty. There are three different levels of spiciness you can choose (no spicy, medium, very hot), but it will cost you a bit more for spicier. My personal preference is to choose the medium level. The very hot is still edible, but the soup becomes very oily (and a bit difficult to drink) since there is too much chili oil (ã©ã¼æ²¹).

Thank you for using Irorinosato Kodaira from everyday. I am really sorry but I will be closed due to renewal work from Monday, February 4. Although we plan to resume March, we will continue the service of cooking with the train, but the menu will be renew
Often walk around this area (answer to "When did you travel?"). Visited several times to invite friends from abroad but it was before (10 years?)You can enjoy without disturbance of others.Little bit expensive but reasonable priceSpecial accommodation of fire flies in summer evening. You can enjoy walking along "Tamagawa-josui river" (canal constructed Edo period: 400 years before to supply water to central part of Edo:Tokyo) before dinner. Hiragushi-Dencyu (famous sculptor with impressive and informative words) museum is 10 minutesâ walk.I'm glad to come here!Tokyo is an image of a building area, but Kodaira is a town that gives you a feeling of lush Japanese tradition. 20 minutes by Chuo Line from Shinjuku to Kokubunji. Kodaira is a 10-minute train ride from Kokubunji. A large locomotive runs through the large Japanese garden to carry dishes at "Irorinosato"!You can enjoy BBQ style meals while enjoying the historical atmosphere of Japan. It is recommended for a small trip because there is also a historical heritage "Tamagawa Josui" and a house of longevity sculptors who lived up to the age of 107, "Hirakushi Denchu Sculpture Museum".Please come again. We look forward to!
