tried to go a couple of times during my stay in Kohama-jima, but did not happen.1st time I called, they said they can only pick up a party of 2 or more.2nd time I called, I asked if I could join the ride when they were coming to pick someone up at the same hotel; they said "no" because they can't take me back to the hotel when I want to; I said I will wait until the next person going back and catch the ride with them, but their answer was still "no".their mid-size van just came, picked 2 people up and left... how disappointing...

Authentic local dishes and welcoming home style atmosphere. Loved the fried fish dish and maguro was one of the best we ever had, very fresh. Susana and Kanae were especially friendly and helpful for choosing dishes and making us feel at home. Initially we were discouraged at hotel we were staying at from dining out because we don't speak Japanese, but luckily found this gem. If you are looking for an honest authentic experience, this is a must.

Grill Dining is one of the four restaurants in Haimurubushi.This restaurant serves grilled dishes, shabu shabu (Japanese dish wtich beef and vegetables served boiling in a pot of soup stock), Japanese style lunch and dinner set.Breakfast time is not open.I had dinner at this restaurant for two days during my 3 days stay at Haimurubushi. On the last day I used Club Dining.I ate "Uminchu" Fresh Sashimi Gozen (set) on the first day, and ate Beef tongue stew with "Shuri" Miso (set) on the second day.In any case, you can choose appetizers, salads, rice, soup, pickles, ice creams and fruits at the corner called Mini-buffet.I choice a bottle of Yaesen Awamori (Okinawan traditional liquor). It was about JPY 2,000 in the 600ml of Awamori Yaesen. If you put a bottle in one of the restaurants, you can also order from another restaurant.The dishes were full of amounts and my stomach was full.

Thumbs up for the food, big room of improvement for the service.Stuff will come to your hotel to pick you up and bring you to the restaurant. So far so good. You reach a tiny little hut, cute but simple. Service is slow, people are rather grumpy. However food still tastes delicious. My advice: just have enough drinks and you will enjoy your time ;-)

There are handmade corners of Yaeyama soba and waffle.I think that the quality of breakfast is higher the hotel operated by Unimat Precious located in the neighborhood.Not limited to this restaurant, bottles of Awamori (Okinawan traditional liquor) at each restaurant in Haimurubushi are reasonable.It was about JPY 2,000 in the 600ml of Awamori Yaeyen. If you put a bottle in one of the restaurants, you can also order from another restaurant.Even with the Open Cafe & Bar, you do not need to pay a set charge for ice or water.It seems that your own bottle is only during stay.Please refrain from bringing Awamori that are sold at the shop to a restaurant because it is a foul.

In the middle of nowhere on Kohama Island is this small amazing local restaurant with healthy top quality food. Free hotel pick up. Local cuisine with heart, Booking 1-2 days is essential. Though reasonably priced, make sure you have enough cash. Highly recommended.

Homely cooking was a refreshing change from our resort meals. We tried the tofu champuru (not vegetarian) and tonkatsu sets. Both were tasty. Would like to return to try other meals from the menu.

Great taste and as said, pure ingredients giving you insight in the local Kohama/Okinawa cuisine. Ultra friendly family operated restaurant including pickup and return to your place of stay! English very well understood.
