Things to do in Foetz

We used to go to this restaurant quite often for dinner with friends, as the sushi is quite good and not too expensive. Last time, we went there for lunch with the kids. The waiter suggested the buffet to us and told us, that there was sushi too on the buffet. However, the sushi plate and dim sum basket on the buffet were empty the whole 1.5 hour we stayed there and there was just the usual fatty Chinese convenience food on it. As this was not very good, we asked if there would be some sushi coming to the buffet and they told as yes. So we waited and waited and waited until we had to leave. So we paid and stood up. Then the waitress told us in a very rude manner that we would have to sit down again and wait for the sushi that was apparently being prepared especially for us. ??? I told her that on a buffet, things are supposed to be there already and not to be ordered by the guests and that we had already been waiting for over an hour for this sushi and that we had to leave for work and school. I think she didn't really get it as she nearly threw us out. ??? Well, it was a quite bad experience and we definitely will never go there again ...

The food on the sushi train is of low quality, the rice and the fish arenât tasteful. It has nothing to do with a japanese restaurant. The restaurant is charming like a cantine. You should avoid.

Restaurant Japonais - Sushi . Formule Lunch tous les midis, du mardi au vendredi. Admirez cette toile de maître, un chef dâÅuvre unique à déguster sur place, en livraison, ou à emporter. Oishii, « délicieux » au pays du soleil levant, régale les amate
I went there with a friend because she lives near. I thought to give it a try but already had a weird feeling that this place wouldn't please me in terms of sushi...And indeed so it was. Beginning with the toilet check (for me, the toilet is the most important place to see how the restaurant "works".) Indeed it was clean, but the soap dispenser was empty and they had placed a cheap liquid soap plastic dispenser on the sink, with a very thin mix of the remaining soap and water, it was mostly only water and it was embarrassing to wash your hands like this. I thought ok, this place won't excite me.The place is clean and nice but that's it. The waitress was probably thinking she's working in a pub (what she probably did before), as her way of serving and doing her job there wasn't like it should be. Just hush hush, serve, waiting we finish and clean up. She was serving us the plates and soy sauce cups with her fingers inside the cups... Disgusting. The things that already bothered me when we sit was, this restaurant doesn't even have their own reusable chopsticks. They present you the cheap bamboo ones to separate and trash away, and NO placer. So it means you have nowhere to put them back in case you want to eat something else or make a break, only on your paper(!) napkin. This is not what a sushi place should be.Also, when the sushi came, I immediately saw that they have been made by someone with no ability to do this. The "sushis" were more like some pieces of hand-rolled rice wraped with algae than something else.In fact, the rice was too loose, the filling was looking out, some rice was falling appart or missing to fill it up to the border, the algae and rice paper weren't clean cut, but clearly only wrapped around by hand it seemed. It was a total mess. The plate was well presented, the sushis tasted good. But clearly a sad experience. The gyoza we had for apperitif were fried and still soaked in oil when the waitress served them. Too faty. The taste was ok.Well, not a restaurant I would suggest for find traditional sushi. The best I have tried is Yamato sushi in Howald (route de Thionville). They are real Japanese doing it since long time and it's quality food, not expensive and the restaurent is like it should be! Well presented tables, placers, reusable chopsticks, tissue napkins, a friendly and competent service! Clean all the long the way till even the toilets!Dear Mrs, Mr,We are sorry to read your disappointment. Please note that this does not reflect in any way the quality of our daily service and we ask you to accept our most sincere apologies. Your comments are very valuable and will be forwarded to the team so that will not happen again in the future.Sincerely,The direction

To my knowledge the only restaurant in Luxembourg offering Keiseki menus. I was a little anxious before going, since I am regularly disappointed by Japanese restaurants focusing on design, but where the food is only incidental. Not here. Apart from the dessert, each dish of the tasting menu that the chef prepared for us managed to convince. The taste was very authentic, the presentation delightful. Portions are perfectly sized, so you will leave neither stuffed, nor famished. Service was very efficient and friendly, and they recommended excellent sake to go with the various dishes; all in all a superb experience, which in my view is adequately priced, in view of the great quality that is on offer. I will be back soon!

by accident I discovered this place with excellent service and good food. The Thai main course was great as well as Sushi and my Soup. Monday seems to be a quiet day, but food was fresh and service entertaining.

Definitely the best Asian restaurant in Luxembourg. Delicious Chinese food, very good sushi that tastes very intriguing with a bottle of wine from the Mosel region. Once you will try you will go back here for sure. Beautiful, modern japan ambient of the restaurant. Friendly and helpful stuff.

I just realized that I still didnât write a review for this restaurant. Itâs been over a year now that this place has become our favorite chinese restaurant. Weâve been here a dozen of times now and we will go again tonight The buffet is brilliant with lots of choice. The only point that could be improved would be the waiting time at the grill. But for the rest, this is the best adress for chinese food here in the south of Luxembourg (maybe all of Luxembourg?)Thank you Dear Mr/Mrs Lee,Thank you for taking your time to write your comments and appreciation on Tripadvisor. We always appreciate feedback from our valued customers to help us maintain and improve our products and services. We are pleased to hear that we are now your favourite chinese restaurant and this is a huge compliment to us!We will definitely take your advice into account regarding the waiting time at the grill station. Due to the large selection of seafood, the grill is very popular among our customers. In fact, our head chef Zheng takes his time to prepare each grill dish with care and tailor it to each customer's taste and dietary preference. This is the reason why it can sometimes take longer time to wait for the grill. Once again, thank you for your review and we are excited to welcoming you once again at our restaurant!Have a wonderful sunday evening.

Yamasakura is a great teppan yakki in Luxembourg. The kids absolutely loved it. The food is delicious and fresh and masterfully prepared and the welcome always warm. If you want to spend an enjoyable evening with your family centered around a great meal, this is the place to go to.
