Discover Restaurants offering the best Japanese food in Dahab, Red Sea and Sinai, Egypt. This former Bedouin fishing village is now a popular tourist destination—especially for serious windsurfers, who'll find some of the best conditions in the world off Dahab's beaches. Long known as a laid-back, backpacker-friendly town, Dahab is becoming more developed, yet retains a casual vibe. Finally, Dahab is also home to the Blue Hole, the world's most dangerous dive site. Only very experienced technical divers should attempt passage through "The Arch" here; if you're a novice diver, stay close to the surface. Really cute place with great range of specialist teas and Asian food. However we were waiting for over 30 mins just for a menu (not sure if they had forgotten us) and over an hour for food. The food was great though.

We were diving the sites of "Golden Blocks", "Moray Garden" and "the Caves" and our dive guide reccomended we spent our rest time in the company of El Hana cafe. Its a small family run "bedouin" style cafe offering fresh Juices, cold and hot drinks snacks and meals We visited on 2 occasions. The first time I had grilled fresh fillet of fish with rice and grilled vegetables and my wife had vegetable rice with a side of hummous and freshly made bread. Our secong visit my wife ate a selection of local specialitys including Freshly made flat bread, Falafal, Foul-falaf (like re-fried beans) dips and fried bread sticks (this wasnt a menu item but the owner of the cafe was happy to oblige the request and have the chefs knock up an interesting selection) I went for a chicken pizza (as I was planning to help my wife with hers!!)On both occasions our food was hot and delicious. The service was always friendly and prompt. The drinks always as you would hope. The tea was hoy (I like the Bedouin tea) and the juices cold and fresh)We enjoyed our time very much there and would definatly choose this spot when next visiting happy village in southern Oasis, Dahab. The menu is great value and a well reccomend spot, sat right on the sea egde with sun bathing, snorkeling and swimming.Chukran
