once upon a time there was this famous Japanese restaurant called Rin, located at Nirwana Gardens Resort, in the Lagoi area... a haven to quality fare and sophisticated serviceRin unfortunately closed down in early 2017 after 10 years of operation, and we were left wondering were to go for an authentic Japanese meal in Bintan...well, we got good news... one of the Japanese chefs at Rin has decided to stay on the island and open his own outlet in Tanjung Pinang, welcome to Tomo Restaurant!Rin's luxurious style has been toned down, to make the new place more affordable to locals, and we are happy to report that food quality and pleasant environment do not disappointin Tanjung Pinang, there is now an alternative to Indonesian or Chinese food: lunch or dinner at Tomo Restaurant, a daring tribute to Japanese excellence, in a small provincial town... definitely good value for money!

Breakfast was an extremely noisy experience due to screaming children and their rude parents. Food was barely adequate. Coffee undrinkable.Dear Sir,We apologise for the bad experience that you are having at the restaurant. Well, if you were in such secluded place like here in Bintan Lagoon Resort, you would be happy if you could find something else except the typical wanna be Italian or regular Nasi Goreng and stuff in that area.Miyako offers great japanese food that for sure. Not the cheapest varation around.
