Arcadia is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States located about 13 miles (21 km) northeast of downtown Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley and at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. It is the site of the Santa Anita Park racetrack and home to the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden. The city had a population of 56,364 at the 2010 census, up from 53,248 at the 2000 census. The city is named after Arcadia, Greece.

I followed these reviews and tried out Mako Sushi. I was very disappointed. I love to find little hole-in-the walls that are gems but this wasn't one.They started off great, nice ambiance and the waitresses were great and very friendly. I had the special rainbow roll, the tear jerker roll and the oysters. The portions were good and so was the price but a lot of the rolls were pan seered, and when I tried the rainbow roll I found out why. The salmon and the tuna were not fresh at all, almost mushy. There was another piece of fish that was so grisly that I couldn't figure out what it was...it was like chewing on cartilage. The rolls were fat with Imitation crab and lite on veggies, maybe some people like this but its not my taste. My final take is great service but bad food.

Our party of seven was quickly seated without reservations as we arrived around 5:30pm. You should definitely come here for sushi as the cooked entree and yakitori menus had a limited selection. All the sushi and sashimi items we ordered were very fresh. I especially enjoyed the amaebi and the uni sushi. We were all offered a full size ice cream cone for dessert. One special that looked really good (but which we did not try) was the live lobster sashimi, which costs between $88 to $125, depending on the size. Maybe next time.

We loved this experience--some really interesting flavors and creativity. And quite reasonable. My favorite was the tuna sushi role with fois gras--a delicious combination. We also enjoyed the tacos, empanadas, jalapeño sashimi, and beet salad. Their wine list was quite reasonable, but very limited (maybe 10 choices?) BUT their corkage policy is very generous: buy a bottle down the block at the Bottle Shop and the corkage is waived--otherwise $10. Having said that, the wines on the list were quite good. This is mostly a small plates--sharing type of meal, although they did have a few entree choices. We ate inside--on a lovely evening the outside would be delightful.

Good ramen place. Get to choose different noodles and broth. Serving is very generous especially for the large bowl. Okinawa chasu is tasty, a must try! Friendly staff and fast service. Won't mind coming back for more!

I maybe the odd one, but I don't really like to interact, other than talking to those I am dining with, when I am eating. Therefore, I don't usually enjoy these teppanyaki shows. It's just too much 'work' to respond to the chef's and the show. For ones, I actually enjoyed our lunch here last week. Our chef, sorry I did not get his name, was doing it just right. Not overly showy or talkative and he did a good job cooking the food. You can tell he was not JUST doing it. I had the two-item lunch (Lunch Duet) of scallop and beef. Good value for the price.Thank you so much for your feedback, we hope to see you back again soon!

Located in a small shopping center, not much to look at on the outside, but nicer inside. The chef is Japanese and the food is very much Japanese style. You can get authentic yakitori, ramen, nigiri sushi, set dinners, katsudon, etc. Drinks include Japanese beer, sake, highballs and umeshu. We enjoyed our dinner and will be back.

Watching an experienced tepanyaki chef (Mexican) preparing and cooking a delicious meal was part of the flavour of this restaurant in Arcadia.We opted to share one main entree which was sufficient and the tastes were delicious

Ordered a bowl which consisted of tuna bits and salmon bits (which smelled bad). over lettuce and rice. tempura looked like the stuff you get in the frozen section of the supermarket.octopus was rubber, tuna really bad, kind of falling apart. salad dressing was dilute. beer was good (guess cause they didn't touch it). pass on this one. awful
