Georgetown is the capital of the Cayman Islands and one of the most popular cruise ship destinations in the Caribbean, thanks to its year-round tropical weather, white sand beaches and clear blue waters. Don't miss Stingray City and diving and snorkeling near the coral reef. Georgetown offers plenty of duty-free shopping, restaurants and cafes. If you can pull yourself away from the beach, try an excursion to one of the West Indies' few remaining tropical rain forests.

We have tried several of the local jerk places in our travels to the Caymans, and Di Kit Chin has decent box lunches to stay or go. We had the stew conch and turtle stew, which were both good and came with some nice plantains. The stews were a little on the bland side, but overall the meal was good bang-for-the-buck and filling.

Our driver, Jimmy Carter, suggested Welly's for a flavorful Jamaican taste. We enjoyed the carrot milk lunch with Rum to drink. We enjoyed the BBQ chicken, oxtail, brown fish stew which were all served with salads, pasta salad, boiled dumplings and rice and red beans. The service was good. The only problem was when we were leaving we went out side to wait, One of the workers came and made us feel unwelcome. She asked for our driver and called to tell him to pick us up. Make sure your ride is there. Enforce you leave the restaurant.

This very small local joint offers a variety of jerk options. The flavor is pretty good, and you certainly get a lot of meat for your money. We got both the chicken and pork to try, and the smoked flavor really comes through. Better to get and take away to eat elsewhere comfortably - definitely an interesting local experience.

During a cruise we wanted something authentic and off the beaten track - spotted a sign at the beachfront indicating a "Caribbean Kitchen" so wandered down to try it out. It's not large; about 5 tables and a breakfast bar to one side, quite open-plan (but they did wifi and cold beer, so good!) We tried their special of Curried Goat which came with rice and beans, a single yam, two platains and a small amount of coleslaw, all bundled into a polystyrene carton. Overall it did the trick, a brief lunchtime snack washed down with a chilled beer. It's not cheap for what you got, but sufficed.

This restaurant has a great selection of breakfast food at reasonable prices. Large selection of both island and international selections the service was fast friendly and there was even a kids menu. We had breakfast 2 days in a row there

Chicken Chicken provides great value for a family meal. You can see the chicken being cooked on the rotisserie in the store. We had ordered a couple of chickens as well as some jerk chicken. The chicken was not greasy which you would not get when itâs cooked on the rotisserie and the sides were ample and delicious. Our order was placed and filled promptly.
