My husband and I were treated to a nice dinner while visiting family in Guadalajara. We ordered gnocchi, spaghetti, pasta, and pizza. This was our second visit to Cabotina. The ambience is cozy and the decor is beautiful, lots of wood used. It was crowded during dinner on a Sunday night so the service was painfully slow. Our server disappeared and we had to wave down other servers and helpers to re order drinks or to locate missing dishes that someone from our table was waiting for. The gelato is very yummy. Unfortunately, for those family members who ordered coffee after dinner, it was a little cold by the time it was delivered to our table. We would visit again next time we return to Guadalajara.

Not your typical "mall" restaurant experience, but much better. This is a smaller restaurant, at one of the entries into the regional fashion mall. Most of the other restaurants face the main entry paseo, but La Pasteria is an exception. The focus is on Italian food, especially various pasta dishes, as the name suggests. Definitely above average, maybe not great, but enough to be very good and worth a visit. Can be crowded at lunchtime. There is plenty of parking below in the underground garage (thousands of spaces) but you will need to travel some distance in order to reach the restaurant due to the size of the mall. The good news is that if you need to wait before you are seated, there are plenty of storefronts to look at. There is no outdoor seating per se, but there is some open air seating under an awning.

This is a fine Italian dining establishment located in a leafy area of Zapopan. Nice neighborhood around. They have valet service. Went with friends and they have a good wine collection. The bread served was fresh and smelled good. Friends ordered Lasagna and Seafood pasta. Both were big portions and were fresh and tasted good. Ambiance is nice with good seating and they have a covered veranda too. Saw a lot of families on a Sunday afternoon.

I say 'make reservations' even though I HAVE reservations about recommending this restaurant. As longtime fans of its predecessor Ma Come No, we expected changes that might rattle us for a minute -- but didn't really anticipate disappointment in all three areas, food-service-&-pricing. I called to ask if reservations would be necessary at a definitely off-peak hour and was told definitely not. We arrived and were told the place was full and there'd be a minimum 20 minute wait, during which we studied the menu. After being seated and as we waited a bit longer than expected for the food (even the bread was slow in coming, and contrary to what I'd read in other reviews was not hot), my husband said 'Good thing we were prepared to order as soon as we sat down.' Having had time to read the full menu descriptions I knew his steak should've been accompanied by potatoes and asparagus, but when it arrived there was a puree of something-or-other (we were never sure what) alongside. When we asked for the presentation the menu described, the steak came back with potatoes and some sautéed mushrooms. Meanwhile, I'd ordered salmon cooked 'medium' and was in raptures over the flavor of the sauce when I sadly discovered the inside of the fish to be raw and rather mushy. The waiter swept crumbs from the virtually crumb-less table every five minutes, and I'm mystified as to why so many people consider this sort of 'attention' to be almost unbelievably elegant. Anyhow, the kitchen has the possibility of being something special but I'd say to expect unevenness in the food, oddness in the service, and a bigger check than you might expect. And DO be sure to make reservations.

This used to be a great place about 10 or 15 years ago. Recently the place is totally old and the cousine is really italian average to low average, and very expensive.Honestly if you are looking for an Italian restaurant that exceed your expectations, you can visit any other but this one.Is a restaurant that has more fame that real good flavor. Is really sad to see a Restaurant coming from a high level to thisEx. One Small Salad and a simple pasta with 2 drinks can get up to 850 pesos ( 50 dolars), average poor taste, small portions... service badWe thank you for your comment, but we absolutely don't agree with you.Our clients think we are one the best restaurants in Guadalajara particulary with italian food, our plates are constantly renowed using the best freshest ingredients using the best as well over 15 years, you can try other other restaurants in the metropolian area of Guadalajara there are 18,000. Please do us a favor and dont come back, since we have seen your commments and 70 % of the time are negative.90% of the comments we are get are beneficial ti the restaurant.Regards Massimo Pampaloni.

Chapalita is a fantasitic area for food and drink. We chose the restaurant from a Trip Advisor review and were not disappointed. It appeared to be the busiest restaurant in the area, so reservations might be necessary during peak times.

You can visit either for lunch or for dinner, the experience would be awesome. The place is inside a nice mall called Andares, so there is plenty of room for parking and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The food is excellent, from the Pizza to the special dishes and there is a wide variety of drinks and beers. The specialty is Italian food, I truly recommend it.
