I flew from Montreal Canada to attend my cousins wedding in Lallio, and the Wedding reception at Villa Zanchi. It was exceptional. We were greeted at the main entrance with refreshments and then invited to the gardens for the buffet antipasti ...wonderful presentation. I particularly enjoyed the food and the beautiful venue. The service was also very good. It was new to me to have the guests seated in three different rooms, but it worked out very well. I personally would have loved to have some dancing during the meal and to enjoy the Father/Daughter dance which did not take place. I guess every country has it's own traditions. The Cake presentation and the desert buffet were also simply put...extraordinary !!! complimenti. The younger guest enjoyed the Discoteca and the D.J. music and the bar...It was a little loud for me but they were having so much fun, very nice to see. Again, congratulations to your staff the day (September 23, 2018) Job well done. i posted pictures on FaceBook as well.

I spent 5 nights at the Azienda Agricola I Due Merli and I had the opportunity to eat at their restaurant with great pleasure. The food was excellent, well prepared and the atmosphere pleasant. Usually it's a fixed menu consisting in six different kinds of appetizers, two first courses and one main course followed by three delicious desserts.Beware that the restaurant is open only on Friday and Saturday for dinner and Sunday for lunch. Booking in advance is advisable.

Posto dove oltre alla buona cucina vengono considerati anche avvenimenti culturali
There is a great atmosphere outside in the courtyard during the summer months, with romantic lighting plus a big open fire place. We went back recently during the autumn and sat inside the buzzing busy restaurant at lunchtime. The food was as good as we remembered, great plates of cold cuts as 'antipasti', fresh bread, good wine and fantastic pasta & meat dishes. Looking forward to going back there again in the summer.....

Our restaurant was born from a simple concept:fresh dishes, kitchen very tradition-bound, very fair prices. Our strong point are the risotto creamy and delicious well-do not have the menu in English but with Our kindness can go around the world! All homema
Cozy restaurant, nice service personnel. However a very limited menu - couldnt choose (pretty much no salad on menu) and almost left. Waitress convinced us to stay and promised they'd make a Caesar salad (no chicken). Brought us two large salads with various vegetables - was ok, but not even close to what we ordered. Final shock - 60 EUR bill for 2 salads, 1 caprese, 2 glasses of wine, 1 bottle of water. You be the judge, but I will not come again.

We had a long layover at Bergamo on the way home to Ireland from Bulgaria and I wanted to find a nearby restaurant for a good Italian meal which would meet my partners coeliac requirements. A google later we found Jollys, a very unassuming restaurant which is in the small village of Grassobbio, 10 minute taxi from the airport. It is open all day and has an extensive menu. The owner was so welcoming and we had an excellent octopus salad starter to share, brilliant pizza and gluten free beer and desert. They do all sorts of grain bases, pastas and meat and fish courses also. We were given gifts as we left and had a great chat with the owner also. It is worth getting away from the airport and chains in the nearby shopping centre for a decent meal with a fantastic welcome and very decent food. We will return!

We were staying in the Winter Garden Hotel near Bergamo airport following a week in and around Lake Garda and were looking for somewhere to have dinner other than the trendy hotel restaurant. This place was recommended to me by a local so I took a drive out to recce the menu and spotted my wifeâs favourite pasta dish (alla Norma). I was told there was no need to reserve a table during the week and we returned an hour later and got a table, although it was actually very busy for a Tuesday night and before long all the tables were occupied. From the outside, expectations would be low but the restaurant is somewhat hidden within a bar next to a petrol station and is incredibly popular with locals, we were the only non-Italians there. I speak Italian but they did manage to find an English menu for my wife, which helped with some of the unfamiliar menu items. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I must caution that the portions are VERY big by normal restaurant standards and would strongly recommend that you either forego a starter or just share one. My wife ordered the Formaggi alla Piastra and Miele (baked cheese with honey), which consisted of three large pieces of different baked/fried cheese with honey, walnuts, onion marmalade and apple sauce; it was very good but it could have fed four people as an after dinner cheese board. In addition I had ordered Potato Tart with Mushrooms, which turned out to be two large potato and mushroom stacks swimming in a creamy cheese âsoupâ, which was delicious but again huge! We had already been served some excellent seasoned pizza base, which is one of our favourites so by the end of the starters we were already full up! For the main I had ordered Tuna Fillet in sesame seeds, which was just okay because the crust of sesame seeds was a bit scorched, tainting the taste a bit, I had ordered a side of roasted potatoes, which were good but I regretted as it was a large portion. My wife naturally had the Paccheri alla Norma (Large type of pasta with a sauce of tomato, aubergine, basil and mozzarella), which was very good. There was a dessert trolley with around ten different, tempting desserts but we were so full that we had to pass, although I was sorely tempted by the Strawberry Tart. We ordered a quarter carafe of house red but were served a half carafe, only being charged for the quarter, which was very generous and the wine was very palatable. This restaurant was a great find and well worth the 4.7km drive from the hotel. If staying near Bergamo airport again, we would definitely return to this restaurant but would only order one starter!

What Can I say, I am still there and I already want to give an advice about this place.Nice welcoming with a smile, but after that they let me alone for a long while, maybe busy with some other customers.I asked for the menu after 15 minutes and finally I could order. But all those small problems are completely forgotten when I was in front of the quality of the meals and their nice look.Everything was tasty.I would suggest this place for sure, it's really good.Just a small suggestion : please give the menu immediately when the customer is getting there, or he/she would feel a bit..... abandoned. All rest is nice!

Very desapointed and upset. We booked a table for 2 at the restaurant. We came on time but unfortunately we were not italian and the table available was given to a italian couple with no booking. They offered us a table in the noisy partir the bar instead of the restaurant. So unfair !!!sorry for the incident. we just accept online booking and being the first times there could be some inconvenience especially on Saturdays where the turnout is higher.also the other "Italian" customers had booked the problem and that on the online booking is not indicated if you use the room with a high table or the room with a normal table.we are always correct with all the customers both Italian and of different nationality the error and "the fork" that should highlight the difference of tables.we have highlighted the problem at the online booking site that will provide for the resolution.thank you and sorry again

I've eaten much better elsewhere with prices like these. In addition the staff have no idea about service, they take our coats in the beginning only to leave you searching for them when leaving. And also, one hateful thing, which is unfortunately very common in Italy, is that they take your plate whilst you're still chewing your food. What's the hurry?? And I don't like to be left without a plate when my friends are still eating, even if I've finished eating.
