I work downtown frequently on weekends and being that I was working on St. Patrick's Day I figured most restaurants would be crowded, so coworkers and I decided on Big O's because of its location. It's kind of a hidden gem due to it's unique entrance below street level.Located on Ottawa Street, just west of Monroe adjacent to the Art Museum. I had the "Super Sub". A 10" monster loaded with toppings and pizza sauce toasted, a pickle garnish and chips. Others enjoyed salad, and pasta dishes.The price range is $9-$18 range for most items. Our waitress was friendly, but not very attentive, and the bathrooms weren't the best, but adequate. Other than that I recommend this place. It's small so parties larger than 40 would be a challenge, and they don't have parking.

Went here with family after a band competition, should have kept going. Got seated quickly not busy at all, our waitress was great. Our food came out quickly , my piza was fine . The other food was mainly pasta ,it all looked gummy and tasted like it too. A lot of money for food like that. I wasn't impressed and won't be back. There are plenty of TV screens to watch whatever game or contest that interests you. Decent beer selection on tap, and the pizza is solid. Any of the Italian fare is delicious, with one of our favorites being the Stuffed chicken scallopinni, which just completely pleases with its textured goodness.

This is a great place to go with a bunch of friends to watch a major sports event together. The beer is always cold, and the servers make sure you are never thirsty. Lots of tables, many TV screens, and a sit down bar area designed for mingling makes this always a fun stop.

A group of 15 of us had dinner here.Excellent service fro Jason and helpers.Food very tasty.Everyone enjoyed their dinner .We asked for recommendations and all were very good.It is basically an Italian menu with a modern twist. We had a few people who needed different diets accommodated and all were happy. If I go back to Grand Rapids will definitely return here.Good morning, Margaret!
