There's two locations in Waterbury with the name Amalfi. One is a pizzaria/deli/catering. The other is a traditional restaurant.
Recently had lunch here. Ample parking and casual atmosphere, I had remembered having much better food years ago. Service was friendly but very slow. My mother enjoyed her broccoli rabe and sausage pizza, although it was served barely warm. My Margherita pizza had cheese falling off it, which made the crust limp. And it was flavorless. My daughter said her gnocchi tasted like the kind from the frozen food section. My son's turkey sandwich was fine. Portion sizes were large and prices reasonable. I would neither return nor recommend.

Dinner date with my wife for our first visit to this highly touted Waterbury establishment. A nice, subdued lighting modern decor with a primary dining room as well as s friendly barroom with a fair amount of seating for dining and comfortable and spacious booths. Pleasant music caps the busy but comfortable atmosphere. White-cloth tables and professional, friendly service. Our main waitress seemed a bit hard to corral at times but there were numerous staffers that were responsive as needed. The menu focuses on Italian specialties but includes fine steaks, fish, salads and some interesting appetizers. I had a terrific escarole & white bean appetizer and my wife had a tasty eggplant appetizer. Both were very good. My main course was a great gnocchi in a brown gravy with tender lamb shank, peppers & onions & portobello mushrooms & spinach. Delicious. My wife had an excellent cavatelli with mozzarella balls in marinara. We also indulged in dessert with a very fine creme de brûlée and even better chocolate cake with Nutella sauce on the inside. The atmosphere is social yet very nice for a romantic evening. Thereâs outdoor seating available in front and a large room downstairs for big groups/parties. The bar is pretty good size and has a couple of small televisions. This is located in a somewhat main avenue on the outskirts of the city of Waterbury and behind the restaurant is a large neighborhood but no parking lot, so allow a few extra minutes to find a spot to park. This is a busy, popular restaurant so reservations are a good idea any night of the week I think. We enjoyed the evening.
Italian pizza restaurant & deli. Everything made fresh daily, from scratch. Large portions. Hand- cut meat. Old-fashioned deli. Subs/grinders made to order. Many specialties & customer favorites. Try us today & taste the difference.
We've ordered catering from here that included the chicken and roasted potatoes. Everyone at it right up, with raves on the potatoes. We've also had their pizza. Very tasty, just the right amount of sauce and cheese, good crust. We've also had grinders and they were very good. Pricing is very good. Always have a good experience here.

Cavallo's is a true Old World Italian Deli. The wide selection is always fresh. The staff makes an extra effort to provide quick service. The prices are very reasonable. The food is excellent. They have Daily Pasta Specials and other specials. They carry a nice variety of desserts.

The Pizza is as good as or at least very close to what I remember many years ago when one had to wait in line in New Haven.Didnât have to wait to be seated. Similar experience and set up as Danbury location. Server was attentive and very pleasant.Pizza can get pricey as you add topping. We also had the Pepeâs salad which was very tasty. The pizza (large for the left overs) sausage and roasted peppers, the small salad (plenty for 2 maybe 3), and a quart bottle of soda was like $41 (before tip). Would I go back yes. For sure.

The name sounds really cool until you walk in and see a tired haphazard little place. Tried a simple slice of cheese pizza, it was kind of weird, it tasted ok but it had the off gamey kind of stale smell to the cheese... Not sure if it was old dirty ovens or what... But could not even finish the slice. Avoid this one

They know how to do it here and you can tell they've been doing it a long time. Their pizza is fantastic and their meals are perfect. The service is always great and its a staple in our house to visit Rossini's at least once a month. We have brought our family and friends to this place as THE cheshire Italian restaurant - it knocks everything else out of the park. Your kindness, loyalty and feedback give us inspiration and appreciation.Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts regarding our service, pizza and entrees.Enjoy the Spring time and thanks again.

This is good, dependable Italian cuisine. It's tucked into a nondescript strip mall on the outskirts of Waterbury, but once you step inside, you're back in Italy. Intimate bar and a nice, cozy restaurant. The menu is diverse without being overwhelming, with some very interesting dishes....plus all the basics. Try the chicken served Milanese style (my favorite no matter where I go). Topped with bruschetta and arugala....yum. Many fish and meat dishes are presented on top of a mound of pasta. Scrod was good....shrimp lacked taste but again was ample. And they pour a nice glass of wine too. Check it out.
Welcome To Our Salumeria Authentic and true, it is the homegrown Italian culinary experience with recipes passed down for generations from friends, family and especially mom. Dom & Emilioâs is family owned and proud to bring our Salumeria from NYC to CT.
This place has the best meatballs BY FAR!! I am probably one of the pickiest people about meatballs and LOVE them here! We have been many times and have tried the meatballs, pork & peppers, sausage and peppers and a few of the deli meats and they were all delicious. The guys who work there are real friendly too. Thank you so much for your kind words. It really makes it worth all of the hard work my family puts in.Thanks again
My family has gone to Vito's Pizzeria since they originally opened in the late 80's. Sadly the original owner has retired over the past year but luckily the new owners have the pizza thing down and they are still the best in town and one of the best in the entire area.
