The food was very good. Did not like the Tiramisu - it is very different than traditional Tiramisu. Service was OK. Waitress was really busy. So glad I got to sit on the 2nd Floor Terrace. The noise inside on both floors was deafening.Hello ArmyNurse,Thank you for the review. We are disappointed to read you did not like the tiramisu. We use a traditional recipe and we normally get great feed-back. We are indeed a large surface restaurant on two floors that can sometimes be a little loud and very busy particularly on week-ends. We are happy that you got a table on the terrace and were better able to enjoy your evening.

My daughter and her husband had their wedding ceremony and reception at Ristorante Beatrice on June 2nd of this year. It was pure magic from start to finish! Beatrice is a sophisticated, elegant, yet warm and welcoming venue for weddings and all kinds of celebrations, big and small. Staff is professional, accommodating and friendly. Service is impeccable, the food absolutely delicious! One of the best spots in town for lunch and dinner as well. Highly recommend!

After reading some reviews here on Trip Advisor, my wife and I decided to celebrate my birthday by dining at Le Serpent. We started the evening with glasses of champagne and oysters that were served with a maple syrup and green onion minionette, which paired beautifully with the oysters. Then, as we weren't sure which wine to pair with our meal (but had narrowed down our selection to a french burgundy) we asked the Sommelier for a recommendation. When he brought the wine to our table, he tasted it for us, as is customary, but then poured only a little taste into each our glasses for us to taste, to ensure that we were happy with our choice - which was a lovely gesture that we've rarely experienced, even at the highest end restaurants. For dinner I had the Arctic Char confit, which was prepared and plated beautifully and my spouse had the guinea hen, which was a unique and delicious dish. At the conclusion of our meal, the staff brought out a sparkler with the cherry panna cotta, as they must have overheard us discussing that it was my birthday. With the dessert they offered us aged chenin blanc, on the house. Then, amazingly, the patrons at the adjacent 3 tables all congratulated me on my birthday, each revealing that they, too, were there to celebrate their birthdays. In all, we had representatives from 4 decades gathered at Le Serpent. Don't miss this venue when next in Montreal!

Our dinner at Chez Sophie was a culinary highlight of our vacation in Montreal. The service was impeccable, and the cuisine outstanding! We ordered the tasting menu withpaired wines. Each dish was beautifully plated, and the flavors were exquisite! Our evening couldnât have been more memorable! If you are in Montreal, you must dine at Chef Sophie!

First time at this restaurant and we were all very happy. Food is very good! I had gnocchi gorgonzola and my colleagues had linguini seafood and it was yummy. We had an antipasto which had a delish meatball, octopus and tomato with cheese. Service was very personal and we were very well taken care ofThank you for a lovely experience. Amazing basilico outside the restaurant straight from Calabria! Grazie !!

Crisp white table cloths, shiny crystal glasses, dimmed lighting, and candles on each table give you an upscale ambience for a dining experience, but the staff here make you feel like you are at home in your Nonaâs kitchen eating spectacular Italian food lovingly prepared and served as if you are family. The burrata and tomatoes with hazelnut basil pesto was impressive. Bright red tomatoes at the peak of ripeness, the oh-so fresh, soft, and creamy burrata, and the slight toasted hazelnut crunch in the aromatic basil pesto makes this basic dish a standout. The olive oil drizzled over it was so fragrant! I swiped the plate clean with crusty bread to get every precious drop. I selfishly admit that I immediately regretted that I had agreed to share this dish with my husband. A dinner serving of this appetizer and a couple glasses of red wine would be all I would need, but there was much more.I picked the lamb chop and risotto entree with peas. Creamy risotto with just the right amount of pungent Parmesan stirred throughout and lamb chops cooked to medium rare perfection. I picked the panna cotta for dessert which had a seasonal mango purée drizzled over the top. It was milky smooth as it should be and was complimented by the frangelico liquor I selected chilled slightly with one neat ice cube. The staff were friendly and very accommodating to the guests. Little tweaks here and there were made with a smile to our entrees and we were never neglected. Casual conversation could be heard between staff and guests. The restaurant was filled with couples, families, and groups of friends.

We tried the cheese plate with homemade tomato (!) and orange rind marmalade for dessert. The jam was very surprising and lovely paired with pur cheeses. Mike, our waiter was personable and gave us excellent service. We enjoyed our anniversary evening here.
