We regularly visit this small local restaurant for dinner or lunch. The staff are very good being both friendly and efficient even when the restaurant is busy, which it usually is (and that means booking). The food is consistently very good and sometimes excellent. Not necessarily full bore Italian, but always tasty and well prepared. The Specials are not on the menu nor on a board but you are told (!) are what we always go for and they can be very special ... not that the regular menu items are bad! The scallops in bacon are brilliant. The grilled whole fish (recently red mullet) are well prepared and well cooked. Even the included vegetables are excellent. The wine list has a range if interesting Italian wines. Overall really good value and deservedly popular.

Our previous visit was not a good one but decided to give it another try in case it had improved no drinks licence so water was the order of the day. Our orders were taken and I told the waitress to ....please do not rush the second course and I was assured a suitable delay would be allowed. Starters were bland including my salmon pate which bore no resemblance to a salmon. I reconfirmed that we would not be rushed and was assured by the lovely waitress that it was being delayed. No sooner were our plates removed...guess what....the main courses arrived. Apparently the Owner had ordered the kitchen to get on with it. Tasteless and overcooked Escalope Milanese. Overall we were all disappointed with the meal but interestingly despite apologies from the waitresses, the Owner just ignored us and our complaints.NEVER AGAIN

Serving hearty Italian food, Zizzi Watford creates an authentic taste of Italy. Boasting an extensive menu of rustic pizzas and tasty pastas, there is also an excellent children?s menu. With a chic bar, diners can also take their pick from a specially com
Came here on the off chance that they could squeeze us in between two productions at a local theatre. Friendly and helpful waitress service but disappointingly slow - even with knowing we were on a tight timescale meant our meal wasnât quite as relaxed as we wanted it to be. Food ok. Salad as garnish with the pizza wasnât great. Toilets really let you down guys. One of the ladies was out of order & they smelt really bad. Possibly because the sani bins were overflowing. Easily fixed so hope it will be better next time.

Authentic Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, Independent Family owned and run. Serving traditional homemade Italian dishes including, Antipasti, large Thin Pizza, Pasta, meats, fresh fish, seafood and various homemade desserts!!
Positives 1)The outside seating area. Great atmosphere.2) The service - friendly staff that explained the dishes. Once we ordered wine the waitress offered for us to taste to make sure we were happy with our choice. â Cons The food - We ordered the risotto and it was watery and bland. Canât comment on the other food, thought the pizzas did look good.We would not go back to eat, however we would go for a drink and perhaps some nibbles to enjoy the outside seating area and service.

Four friends enjoyed a nice evening meal after watching Watford playing Arsenal (2-2). Tried seafood tagliatelle and the white wine of the house. Large portions, kind waitress, good taste and a nice warm late September evening sitting outside. A perfect evening.

It seems a touch negative to start off a review by saying that there is nothing special about the food served here...but there isn't. What it is however, is good...all of the time. No matter what your order, you will not be dissapointed. The Amici breakfast, vegitarian breakfast, jacket potatoes - all great. The thing is, it's not just about that. Amici's is a family run restaurant and it feels every little bit like you are sitting in mama's kitchen. People will come and go, there are often hugs, kissed, italian spoken...but as a customer, you always feel part of what's going on.It's neem a regular of ours for years and compared to other comparitives in the area, this one is a gem. Many thanks for your kind and positive comments and your loyalty to our cafe , hope to see you soon

Central location and very near our hotel (Jurys). Had a pleasant dinner here, we both had pasta and it was tasty and well cooked. What made the restaurant for us though was the staff. We had our five year old grandson with us and they were so kind.

We are a Family run Mediterranean style Restaurant serving Pizza, Pasta, Grill, Coffee & Cakes. We are open from 12pm serving Brunch & Coffee.
We are from Watford and we were looking for somewhere different to eat so we headed here. We got a table for 17:30 for a family of 4, and had the restaurant to ourselves which was lovely. ESP when you are trying somewhere new with kids, you never know how they are going to be so itâs a relief when we are the only people. The service was amazing and very friendly, they interacted well with my daughter which we donât usually get when eating out. I can imagine that the place is buzzing of an evening and we will be back to enjoy it fully! But defo a place to return!!Food was lovely! I tried every dish at our table and every dish was different, some places you go, all the sauces are the same base so the food is samey but not here! Each of our 4 dishes where different in flavour.Perhaps up-sell some garlic bread as we forgot to order but would have with a prompt. Fantastic bite to eat! And we will be back!!!
