We got a tip in perfect pet shop vita dâoro to have a nice italian meal ! We were suprised , she cooks and he is a charming host. We started with an assemblee of fine starters of the menu, followed by grilled calamari ( soft & tasty) & grilled beef in gorgonzola sauce. The Tartufo will thrill you to come back! Real Italian cooking in a nice little town , weâre sorry not to be able to visit more than once. Even the dutch dog got a bite served in a napkin and a nice bowl of water. Das Lokal liegt in der Fussgängerzone von Vilshofen direkt an der Donau. Es ist ein wirklich gemütliches Lokal im Gewölbestil. Alles neu eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Auf der Karte findet man italienische Vorspeisen, Panini und Salate und natürlich Wein. AuÃerdem wird noch ein warmes Gericht serviert, welches täglich wechselt. Als wir dort waren, waren mit Käse gefüllte Totellini in TomatensoÃe im Angebot. Die Panini können entweder nach Vorschlag der Karte bestellt werden, oder aber der Gast kreiert seine ganz eigene Version je nach gusto. Es gibt auch vegetarische und vegane Varianten. Wir hatten eine Vorspeisenplatte ohne Fleisch. Auch diese Platten können individuell zusammengestellt werden. Alles sehr lecker, aber besonders zu empfehlen, die Auberginen und der gegrillte Paprika. Als Hauptgericht Panini. Alles frisch, cross und sehr schmackhaft. Dazu eine Flasche Negroamaro aus Apulien. Exzellent! Das Betreiberpaar empfängt einen herzlich und erzeugt eine familiäres Gefühl. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist topp.

Whilst on a Danube Cruise we stopped at Vilshofen. We went for a lovely walk along the Danube and up to a Church looking at beautiful autumn trees( Not seen when you live in Brisbane). On our way back through the town our friends suddenly jumped out of a Restaurant and in we went.What a surprise to have a fabulous Italian meal with German beer.Great service and great food

In meiner Kindheit ging man "nur" zum Eisessen ins Roma.Heute kann man dort hervorragend Essen.Die Pizzen sind sehr, sehr lecker und stets frisch! Ich liiiiiiiebe den Salat mit Meeresfrüchten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht.Durch das Ambiente fühlt man sich immer ein wenig, als wäre man im Urlaub.Einzig die Toiletten sind abschreckend :-(

Yum! Outdoor seating near the town gates. Good service, great fresh food and huge ice creams. Recommended for relaxing, people watching and enjoying the history.
