On our way to Lake Maggiore we stopped off at Domododdola and had lunch at Stabigilia. Very well appointed restaurant with a good vibe to it. The food was good and a decent choice of dishes to choose from. Appeared to be a lot return visits which is always a good indication of the quality. Would returnGrazie per la bella e cortese recensione Cristian Elena e famiglia

Piada is a thin Italian flatbread, typically prepared in the Romagna region (Rimini, Cesena, Ravenna). It is usually made with white flour, lard or olive oil, salt and water. The dough was traditionally cooked on a terracotta dish or electric griddles are
Again we were in Domdossola visiting friends and decided to go back to this quaint restaurant, as we enjoyed it so much last year.As we weren't sure of the location, our friend took us there and recommended two of the piadini. We sat inside and decided to have our friend's choice- one with Ham & Squacquerone cheese, and the other with the addition of Rocket. To accompany these we had a couple of Coca Colas. The food was very good, and we didn't require anything else afterwards. It is certainly a quaint unusual place and setting. Hopefully we'll won't lose our way from the station! Thanks, we look forward to seeing you soon !!

We have been advised by local friends, and it was a very good choice. Fish food is what they have recommended for, and this restaurant was up to standard. Elegant, careful service, well attended also mid week. Price is adequate to the standard.

We really enjoyed our lunch. The food was great and lots of other people enjoying meals too. Not all tourists like us. We had menus for the day. Very imaginative and good price. We want to go again. Stay over night and enjoy a night meal. The ambiance was great.

Based on my previous positive experience in July, I decided to come back while driving back home. This time, I ordered the crudo(raw fish platter) and was excellent & fresh. Pasta with lobster sauce as main was good also. Add the ultra friendly service( I am non Italian speaker), and you would understand why this restaurant located a bit remote is almost full during lunch time on a Thursday.. I will return.

I actually reviewed this restaurant at the same time as the accommodation - smiley friendly service, food priced about right, house wine good value, menu only available in Italian. Shame it wasn't warm and less windy as it would have been lovely to eat with everyone else, student style, on the long trestle table out on the terrace

Very nice and peaceful place. You feel yourself like you are at home. You should try souffle and eat rissotto with asparagus and shrimp ;)

It is wonderful to see how carefully this little place is kept and renovated, high up the mountain accessible either by a lovely hike or by car. The staff is friendly and the views fantastic. Perfect for a spring hike during cherry blossom! We only had an apero on the terrace and it was absolutely lovely. Make sure to check opening hours before you go. Possible to stay the night too.
