Valdese is a town in Burke County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 4,490 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Hickory–Lenoir–Morganton Metropolitan Statistical Area. One of the largest Waldensian congregations in the United States was founded in the town in the late nineteenth century, now known as the Waldensian Presbyterian Church. The town was settled by immigrants from the Cottian Alps in the Piedmont region of Italy.

Only open on Friday and Saturday nights, so I recommend calling ahead to reserve a table. Walk-ins are accepted though but the place is not large. What most impressed me was the courtesy of the staff...obviously long-term employees. We enjoyed rib-eye steak and prime rib with bread, salad and vegetables. The breadsticks were wonderful and were served with olive oil and herbs to dip into. This place is a hidden jewel. Its rare for me to rate a place excellent, but this restaurant deserves it!

We've visited this site often over the years. Many have tried and failed here. Jessica's has a Mediterranean Menu and we were excited to have dinner with our best friends.Refreshing choices not seen in Burke County. We each had a different Entree. Service was excellent and our meals arrived quickly. We were more than satisfied with our choices. Well prepared and plated, generous portions, and excellent flavors. We were on a roll and added desserts. Again delicious and generous. Lot's of value here.

This place is a comfortable eatery near the historic downtown. It's not fussy so it's a great place for families with small children but also die enough for adults anting to enjoy a quiet meal. The pizza is good and the buffet is refreshed frequently. The sale bar has lots of options so the Buffett is an economical way to try a lot of things for one reasonable price.
