Eaten here on a number of occasions with friends and family and have never been disappointed. Service is a real plus point and complements the high quality of the food delivered on the plate be it a starter, pasta, pizza, meat/fish main or dessert. Never once had the feeling of being hurried along. Location by the small lake at the foot of the high walled old town of Wil is very attractive. Recommended without hesitation on the strength of numerous visits.

Fat food, unfriendly service. Food isn't really mediterranean , but somtihng else.It has originally pizza restaurants near by, take one this, ifyou need to eat in the near of st.gallen.

Delicious Italian food with a rich selection that will not let you down! Italian food comes in two categories: authentic and commercial and this is certainly authentic! The restaurant is located in the old town in Wil which adds to its charm and is in a small house setting with many windows. The atmosphere was nice and warm and the decor of the restaurant was simple but really nice and makes one feel relaxed. The produce is obviously fresh from the taste of the dishes- the gnocchi was excellent and the beef carpaccio with the truffles is not to be missed! Their menu and suggestions are written out on a big board- trust the waitress, she is great! The whole team working there seems very nice actually and was very helpful. The chef is Italian. Since the restaurant owners also have a wine store across the street, their selection is impressive and you can have very good wines there. I strongly recommend this restaurant, but one word of caution and this should not be strange to visitors in Switzerland, it is not cheap but worth the cost.

Le restaurant est grand et il y a de la place pour boire une bière ou pour manger. L'accueil est très sympa. La cuisine est tenue par une dame qui assure. Le filet de bÅuf était tendre, la sauce au poivre, relevée comme il faut et les bavettes au beurre, al dente comme j'aime. Le tout accompagné d'un excellent vin italien "rusticité". J'ai vraiment très bien mangé et passé un très bon moment. Merci pour l'accueil et pour l'échange en français. C'est assez rare dans la région pour le relever.

Schon der Eintritt ins Restaurant lässt einen spüren, dass man hier als Gast willkommen ist. Der Inhaber und auch das Bedienungspersonal sind sehr freundlich und versprühen Charme und Witz. Die Speisen sind liebevoll angerichtet und schmecken hervorragend. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und der offene Pizzaofen sorgt für angenehme Wärme.Es gibt hauptsächlich italienische Speisen, aber auch das Wiener Schnitzel ist unwiderstehlich.Ein wirklich gutes Restaurant, um sich kulinarisch verwöhnen zu lassen.

Just like 90% of Italian restaurants outside Italy, this place would close in 3 months if located anywhere in Italy.I tried a vegetarian pizza and I found on it quite a few things that I've honestly never seen on an authentic Italian pizza, like broccoli and spinach, while none of the regular veggie items where present (onions, peppers, eggplants).Also, I'd be curious to know what kind of yeast has been used to get a pasta so little leavened. My colleague went for some kind of factory-made tortelli which were swimming in a super-liquid panna. He didn't complain though.But luckily I found something really Italian: when some friends of the owner arrived for dinner (around 15 minutes later than me), they got the best table and received their pizza right away, while I was still waiting for mine.I won't talk about the price: my pay is in Euros so I'm a bit sensitive about this topic.No wifi available, just in case.Dear Redflix,Thank you for your review about our Ristorante. We make it based on the season and availability of the vegetables and that is why it can be different from what you know as vegetarian pizza. Also there are different styles of how to make a pizza. Our pizza is based on the roman pizza style and not what you refer to as an unleavened pizza dough. All of our doughs ferment for 24 hours before they are ready to be used. Went there with friends after the Fast Natch parade. The pizza was served quickly and hot. I would definitely recommend the place. Cash only, no credit cards.

I don't know why there was so many people there compared to the other restaurants that day.It's in the old town? Not in a beautiful spot ?So I enjoy eating lonely my excellent meal served in a nice plate. You should not missed The tiramisu ...The service was average but ok except the slow Swiss way of paying your bill !?

Super delicious food, very nice decorated plates and great customer service! We were impressed to find a restaurant on gourmet level for those prices! We would come back for sure! Thank you very much for the great customer experience. La Casa del Gusto belongs to the best restaurants we have been. The ordered food was fresh and the taste extraordinary. After a long day travelling we just wanted something quick and easy to eat, we decided to try Pizzeria La Favola for the first time.We are not really pizza eaters but love Italian food, however, having watched the chef, lovingly and creatively preparing the pizzas, each one by hand, we decided to try one, they were so large that we had one between up with a tomato salad.This Pizza did not disappoint at all, it was thin, crisp and lots of flavoursome toppings on it, superb I would say for a pizza, one between us was plenty but we both agreed that it was so good we would probably go for one each next time and no starter.The staff were very friendly, we don't speak much German and they really tried hard to help us.We will definitely be making this one of our regular eating places whilst we are living in Uzwil, and also look forward to trying their pasta dishes which also looked really good.Great little restaurant, unassuming but great .
