Reviews on Italian food in Tucson, Arizona, United States. Although Tucson's fantastic weather, national parks and forests and desert provide the perfect environment for tons of outdoor recreational activities, this city of half a million people also has its share of history and culture. With a history that goes back much further than many of its southwestern neighbors, Tucson boasts turn-of-the-century architecture, historic neighborhoods, museums and the Mission San Xavier del Bac, a still-functioning 18th-century mission considered one of the most beautiful in the U.S. Mexican and Native American influences are pervasive, and the city has a distinctly Western flavor. There's also a college-town atmosphere, thanks to the University of Arizona, which has its own share of museums and a science center. Whether golfing at a world-class golf resort, horseback riding, hiking in the wilderness, discovering desert flora and fauna at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum or exploring pre-Columbian and other art at the Tucson Art Museum, you'll have a mind-boggling array of things to do.

For more than 25 years, Gavi's has served the Southern Arizona community, providing authentic Italian cuisine in an amicable environment. Gavi's food has won numerous awards and is appreciated by customers from all over the United States.
We visited this restaurant last Friday. I chose the gluten-free pasta with meat sauce, and I am still have two more meals left to eat. Now thatâs a bargain! The sauce and pasta were perfectly cooked, and the service was attentive and friendly. The place has an established, old school vibe with lots of locals including long-term snowbirds during the season, and that is part of the charm. You have to ask about the gluten free pasta because they donât mention it on the menu. They have gluten free spaghetti and penne options at this writing.

We are always looking for great pizza places. We've found a couple of thin-crust, Neapolitan style that are very good. Full disclosure, my husband makes the best pizza this side of the Colorado River.Anyway, Chicago style has eluded us since we left San Francisco and Capo's Pizza in North Beach.Rocco's makes a decidedly top notch attempt to be the best Chicago Pizza we've eaten in town. I'm telling you, for the entire day, I ate 1 1/2 pieces of Chicago Fire and it kept me full for the entire evening/night!We've had it for meals for a couple of days, I'm serious! It is really, really good. Love the tomato sauce on the top; you can tell it's freshly made. The vegetable half was also good and equally filling. They very kindly took off all the green bell peppers for me.It's not close to where we live, but if we're in the area, it's a good place to get a substantial, tasty pizza.

Go at happy hour for drink discounts. Menus is European style so all dishes are individual, meaning no sides. Each item has to be ordered. No veggies with your meat dishes etcetera... so it can add up quickly. Good food and soggy pizza.Nice outdoor patio seating. Fair value. would recommend

Blue Collar Italian Restaurant
The Lamb Osso Bucco and the Braciole were exceptional as were the soups. The Veal scaloppini was more like a tough chicken fried steak and the Farfalle Bolognese which should have been very tasty lacked flavor. The restaurant is extremely noisy but they do have outdoor dining area which proved to be a better option. The young male waiter needed training because he forgot our bar orders, took the meal orders from the men first, served them first, and presented the bill to one of the ladies.

Weâve turned a modern lens on traditional Italian cooking. North Italia is our love letter to Italyâa place thatâll make you feel like youâve stepped off a charming side street to discover a culinary gem. After a decade in business, weâve learned a thing
Greeted at the door with a smile. Friendly staff. They cater to your every need and make sure you are satisfied. Very attentive. Awesome fresh delicious food with great presentation. Very reasonably priced for what you get. This particular location has a wonderful atmosphere. Very clean restaurant and restrooms. The Salmon and the Chicken Parmesan dishes that we ordered were scrumptious. They also have awesome gourmet pizza pies. I am from Phoenix Arizona but have only been to the Tucson location (2 times) even though have three locations down here in Phoenix. Will try the ones in Phoenix in the future based on this experience.

REILLY offers reasonably priced modern Italian food in a casual urban setting. Our menu features artisan hand-made pizzas, as well as craft drinks. We also offer fresh baked sandwiches for lunch and fresh hand-made pastas for dinner.
Gourmet craft pizza place in Downtown Tucson. Very unusual location -- place was a funeral home! The Tough Luck Club is the former basement morgue. Full bar with crafted beers and cocktails. Specialty is their crafted gourmet pizzas, but they do offer other items. I had the fennel sausage & roasted peppers pizza, which was very good.

Another restaurant tried based on TA reviews which we thought was average. We stopped by for lunch and were surprised that there was only one other couple in the restaurant. The service was good but the food was just average. Itâs worth a try if youâre close by but donât expect to be blown away by the food.

My husband and I went here for anniversary dinner this week (a Tuesday night). It was our first time. WONDERFUL ambiance, beautiful view, and location. The food and service were both fantastic! My husband is east coast Italian and is very critical of Italian food and he loved it! We had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, he had the Veal Marsala, and I had the pork parm. We did not sit out on on the patio, but it looked gorgeous and we may try that next time. We also saw a corporate event being hosted in one of the back rooms so it was nice to know that was an option at this venue. We made reservations on Open Table and had zero issues. We will definitely be back!
