After having read all the good ratings, I was expecting a nice little Italian Pizzeria with a friendly service. The reality is, that this is a simple fast food spot with rather unfriendly and dodgy peole selling their products. There is nothing but absolutely nothing that diferentiates this spot from any other Pizza fast food shop. The wine they're selling is literately not drinkable. We were happy they sold as well a Coke. The Pizzas were ok but nothing exceptional.

We weren't seated in the main room but in a room at the back which completely lacked atmosphere, to my mind. Service was slow and our waiter didn't smile once whereas the next table, who ordered champagne and oysters, were feted by a waitress as if they were VIPs (maybe they were :-) The food was ok, the trofie with pesto sauce actually very good, but it all felt a little too pretentious, for me anyway, whereas I'm sure many people would like it.

Probably the best pizza ever - always a queue, you can't book, great staff. Authentic pizzeria in terms of the classical difference between pizzerias, trattorias & ristorantes. Fab for family too.

Was there with my daughter on July 29th 2016 and was happily surprised with this place. Good food and drinks, really excellent service from the waitress with great input to combination of food and drinks and just all in all a good experience! Go there - you will not be dissapointed! You may find a lot of crappy places in Pietre Ligure but this is definitely not one of them! Highly recommended

We are Italian but we prefer writing in English to be more useful to a broader range of people. We learned about this restaurant from our host and also reading the reviews on trip advisor. Our expectations were fully met and probably it is the best place where we ate here in Pietra. The starters (I had the octopus) were perfectly executed and also my wife loved the Capon Magro (a typical dish of Liguria similar to cold fish cake); also the pasta with lobster as well as the Ravioli filled with fish were super tasty! Really a place to try in Pietra Ligure

Sometimes you got lucky just to enjoy the simple pleasures of this life: wonderful surroundings, nice restaurant packed with lively people, generous hosts, and straight tasty food, nothing fancy, but just right, fresh and from the soul! If you are wise enough to see whatâs the real deal, come across this place. Enjoy and remember

If you want to try the local food of Liguria this is the best restaurant you can choose!!The atmosphere is very quiet and friendly. The service is excellent and the owner is fantastic: he recommended us the best dishes of the area to try. I loved the "zimino" which is a kind of vegetables soup with mushrooms and the "farinata", a kind of pizza made of chickpea flour, was sensational! When I'll go back to Pietra Ligure I'll come here another time for sure!!

In reality in this town there is nothing interesting to see but we were there because there is a wine and olive oil producer with very good prices (indeed very good quality oil) and this restaurant uses his products and was highly recommended by him... The appearance of it, nothing special, just a hotel building with restaurant, very big open space restaurant separated in two areas... when we entered we saw lots of people, mainly blue-collar workers concentrated in one area but we were addressed to the empty area (?) maybe that was a reserved area... came right away a waitress to light a candle (for lunchtime?) and to bring us a large board with the day menu choices each dish with different prices ranging from 8,00 to up... but when we said that we wanted the set day menu, that popular one so highly recommended by a local wine-oil producer, the waitress face changed and left leaving her notebook and pen on our table... we were abandoned... my reaction was wanting to leave immediately but decided to give them a second chance because SO recommended place...Seconds later came other people, the same waitress addressed them to our same sitting area, lite the candle, took the large board from our table we ask with no response... then when she finally came back for her notebook and pen hastily replied we were sitting in the wrong area and we should moved where is located the crowd... OK, we moved... in this âpopularâ area there are no candles, no fancy napkins and glasses, just the necessary and paper napkin but quite OK for us, we don't need this... quickly came like 3 different waitresses serving food for us: pasta, lentils and grilled meat and ribs as much as we wanted... and we could repeat if wanted.. not bad food, homemade style... but the drinks? Took several minutes to have the water and wine to arrive... and we were scolded (yes scolded!) when she brought the drinks by stressing her... The service (mostly blue-collar workers) noticed lot of familiarity and friendship towards the others, why we were treated so hated??? For a 10,00 day menu, all included (and as much as wanted) pasta (or starter), main dish, dessert (very small piece), water and wine is not a bad deal specially in these days... After paying the bill, I mentioned to the cashier and the horrible waitress (yes she is present because have to inform the cashier what we had) in a casual way that their restaurant was highly recommended by their wine/oil vendor, their reply were: SO WHAT?? plain answered that we left the place sour impressed....... apparently when they notice that you're not local and want their day menu seemed that they have this policy of âMONEY-TRAP to NON-LOCALS, PASSERS and TOURISTSâ. We passed again to the wine-oil producer wanting to inform him about this dreadful experience but found the place closed... my opinion, AVOID this place at all costs PLUS there is nothing interesting to see in this town, JUST PASS THROUGH...

My husband and I, we are a Dutch couple (44 and 42) went to this restaurant, near Pietra Ligure after an Italian friend of us gave us that tip. She was absolute right!! We ate there outside and we had some marvellous menu. High quality, using fresh products, also from the neigbourhood and absolutely love for good and honest cooking. I spoke to the cook after our lunch and we made him a great compliment. Complimenti, bravo cuoco. Loro passione per i cibi buoni era un grande qualita! You never regret it, when you are eating there, I am sure. We love Slowfood and are people who love people who are cooking inventive and we are passionate about programs at BBC TV like Masterchef with Greg Wallace and John Torode and Satuday Kitchen. I would also recommend them to go there once!Enjoy Giustenice, Osteria San Lorenzo. Bacioni di Olanda, Sandra e Peter Faling
