We came to Velo Beach last year and had good food. This year the service was bad and asked for water about 5 times and received glass at the end of the meal. Found a hair in my lamb chops and got no apology and they left me sitting with no food whilst everyone finished there meals. Really disappointing as last year the service was great.Thank you very much for your comment LoveTravel439757. We are sorry about what happened with your dish and the service, it is not usual. We hope you come back soon and improve the experience.

Day out in Torrevieja after a long walk along the sea front decided to call into this place for a refreshing cold drink when the ice cold local beers arrived a selection of Spanish Tapas was also supplied compliments of the bar.One of our party a fussy eater remarked they didn't eat what had been delivered and another alternative plate arrived which did then satisfy

Donât really know why this is the first time, but definitely wonât be the last. Very nice dishes, large menu, pizza style stuff made on view and very tasty it is too. For me all the courses are a little bit on the large side, but then again the sautéed mushroom was divine, seasoned to the limit, and really a main dish in itself. I feel the calimari main course and the the prawn pasta are just a bit large, not a lover of dessert but honestly had no room left, sorry, anyway a lovely restaurant with in general happy staff who seem to enjoy their job, canât wait to come back with the family and sit outside and have a real good sharing feast

A real find. Truly scrumptious Italian food that is definitely not mass produced. Burata salad to start, pastas, perfect pizzas and brilliant Italian wine. If you are in La Mata you must visit. Get off the âbeachfrontâ and explore the proper restaurants.

There was a queue outside which drew us to pick this restaurant.. Fast service didn't have to wait long. Love the food and the boys loved it too... the waiter at first was a bit of rude then he came around after he spoke to the manager. Would recommend it to anyone

Where do I start. Visited on a Sunday, early evening after reading other reviews. We ordered a garlic bread to share and for mains my wife had the Escalope Milanese and I had the Salmon with Fine herbs along with 2 glasses of wine. The garlic bread arrived and was as dry as a bone. So dry you could pick it up and it didn't bend. We were so hungry we couldn't be bothered complaining, I had to order a beer to wash it down. The mains came and neither came with any salad or vegetables as stated on the menu (see photo of menu) Asked the waitress where the salad/veg was. Another waitress came to discuss and said the veg was mixed in with the sauce, how ridiculous. My salmon was full of bones but I didn't mind as that is maybe the way they serve it here. The sauce was very nice. My wife's Milanese was very very dry (see photo) to the extent she had to go and ask for mayonnaise to add some moisture. Two bites and she left it. The waitress a tall blond woman asked if everything was ok and we told her the Milanese was not nice and couldn't eat it, to which she just shrugged her shoulders. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks/coffee/deserts. The bill came and we refused to pay for the Milanese as it wasn't eaten. The waitress said that we had to pay as we had eaten some of it. How can you not eat some of it. We then asked for the manager/boss. The waitress then in anger snatched the bill and stormed off and came back with another waitress who was in fact quite nice. She took the meal off the bill and we paid in cash and left. I can only assume the usual chef was not on shift .On a good note the wine was very nice.Thank you for your opinion.Wish to see you again.RegardsLa Pérgola

Sat here now. Table straight away. Order for drinks and meals took 20 minutes for starters to come then another 15 for main courses. People having lasagne were warned it was very hot, me having Hamburger didnât realise I ordered a cold dish. If you look back I have been here before and couldnât fault it. Itâs a shame thatâs all I can do now. Not what it was. Oh well saved me some money on coffee and deserts lol. Only place I havenât tipped all holiday. Terrible

Had a beautiful dinner here on our first night in torrevieja after reading the reviews on trip advisor. Gluten free pizza and pasta available and daura damm gf beer. Friendly service and amazing food. Would definitely recommend.

I was looking for a right place to have my birthday party and went to Il Mondo to discuss with Roberto for the arrangements.The place is good size for 30-60 people, could be even more.To put together the menu, was easy, later we had a test menu to see all through,to test the wines and plan the seating.The co-operation with the restaurant was fluent, straightforward and prompt.We had our own music with piano and singers, which was no problem and alsoRoberto had arranged two singers to the party, which was great for the atmosphere.Food was really tasty, serving was quick and everything went smoothly.Even the cost was very reasonable.Birthday cake was their speciality, must be 1.5m long..... and so good!Excellent place to have a private party with nice views to the sea and lots of light.Easy to recommend to the whole world - Il Mondo, as it is.Merci de nous avoir fait confiance et au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveaux chez nous .

Have walked past this restaurant many times over several years and itâs always been busy. Tonight we were early and decided to give it a try. We werenât disappointed. Two of us opted for the special pasta with entrecôte and asparagus, one had the chicken curry and the other, ribs with the softest potatoes. Service was professional and welcoming and we were made to feel as though nothing was too much trouble. Prices were very reasonable and the food delicious. We will be back on our next visit. Molto bene e grazie mille!
