Independent Black Forest locales dating back to medieval times, in 1971, Titisee and Neustadt (along with Rudenberg) banded together to form Titisee-Neustadt. (A few years later, nearby towns Langenordnach, Schwärzenbach and Waldau also joined the union.) Long known as a spa town, Titisee sits on the banks of the lake of the same name. Legend says the name came from Roman Emperor Titus, who was so taken by its beauty that he named it after himself. The area is great for hiking and winter sports.

After walking out on the competition opposite the road we managed to find this little gem inside the "Kurhaus" Friendly owner, excellent food, limited winelist but of good quality. Prices very reasonable. We had a large, fresh salad, one of the best pizzas I ever tasted inside or outside Italy, excellent desserts. Complimentary Grappa, despite a very modest bill.It is a pity that the place is hard to find, it deserves better.

Just came back from a family dinner with 10 people. Great food, the best pizza at entire black forest! We also tried their salads, bruscattas, pastas and veal... everyone enjoyed their food. Highly recommended. The service was also good, prices are more than reasonable.

Staying in Lenzkirch nearly every week it can get challenging to find good restaurants. However, Carpaccio always serves good food at very good prices. My only criticism is that the service can be a bit haphazard. If you are in Lenzkirch it is definitely a very tasty and safe choice.
It is first time in my life I waited one our for the simple pizza margarita.Come only if you want to wait one hour.Terrible.

This Italian restaurant is situated just up from the lake across the road on the corner. It has an outside terrance but unfortunately as with most establishments in Europe there is no non-smoking section outside. So, our only choise on a hot evening was to eat inside, which wasn't ideal as there was no air-con. However the staff were friendly, spoke English, helpful and service was prompt. We paid around â¬35 for 2 pizzas and beer.

Traditional local dark wood restaurant turned pizzeria. They didn't invest much in the decor. Salad was soaked in industrial cream dressing. Tomato soup straight out of the can/bag. Pizza mediocre at best. Will not return! Avoid.

We went by four around 19.30 for dinner. Greeted like why you are comming now? We picked a table on the back. Another waiter droped menu's and a box with cuttlery. Drink order taken quickly and served without a smile. Dishes ordering ok but not helpful. Question answered very brief. We ordered bruschetta, two pizza's, spaghetti oil & alio and one lasagna.Bruschetta was the tasties dish overall. Plenty ripe tomato cubes on toasted housebread. Left over tomatos used to top up the pizza. Pizza not bad but a bit more topping would make it great.Spaghetti been al dente and perfect in spice for my mom.My lasagne was a fair size, hot and quite tasty. First time I missed some pasta as it had to much mince. Thanks the pizza crust made me happy.Due the harsh waiting stuff, avarage food I would not go back.

Had been to this restaurant on the way from Neuchwanstein castle to hotel. The restaurant has a real "homely" feel with pictures of the owner around the resturant. Staff are able to speak decent English. The food was tasted homemade too and the service was wonderful. They had some good vegetarian options!! We had ordered for tomato soup , garlic bread, Bruschetta and arabiatta pasta..a thumbs up to each and every item!! Definitely recommend.

Good pasta and pizzas with an Italian staff so if you aren't fluent in German, try Italian. I recommend reservations as they are usually very busy and simply stop serving people after a certain hour.

The pizza was too salty, the pasta pesto wasn't a fresh pesto, that is expected for the price. We were with 2 kids and they didn't want to eat the food.We were very disappointed and don't recommend.
