Located as part of the Hotel Berghang, we had a little trouble navigating the hairpin bends to the top, and then finding the actual restaurant. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful in assisting us.This small restaurant perched on a mountainside, was a gourmet delight and very deserving of its Michelin Star. Starkly modern decor in contrast to the usual South Tyrolian decor made a nice change. The presentation and serving of the food was imaginative and everything from start to finish was creative and delicious. Service was attentive and relaxed. At the end of service chef Gregor came and chatted to each table. A screen in the dining room allowed you to observe the kitchen, which was a novel touch. I would rate it amongst one of the best meals we have had!

The best choice for fine dining to reasonable price, for anyone staying in "Voels am Schlern", and does not stay in the hotel (which surely is great as well).Relaxed dining, but in a very fine atmosphere.Excellent service, and nice & polite personnel, just as it should be in such fine place.Added plus of course that the Chef comes and presents himself.Impressive assortment of wines, and of course the great local Lagrains.A great dinner experience. Close to GM star. Maybe better though, they dont have one, as that sometimes has a reverse effect.Dear Michael H,thank you for the great review and for all the comliments. We are happy that you enjoyed your dinner at our restaurant. We hope to see you soon again!Kind regardsKatharina P with the staff of the Romantik Hotel Turm

After hiking up the Mount Pez, we arrived at this beautiful rifugio. The big lunch room was really bright and warm under the Sun and has amazing views. The cappuchino was delicious and Apple strudel outstanding. The young waiters and waitresses all speak great English and were very friendly. Highly recommend a stop here!

Plenty of big tables with different views over the valleys and up to the peaks. Varied menu from snacks to "roll on the floor groaning" meals. Prompt and charming multi-lingual service. Great value. What an absolute gem after a cheeky little climb!

This restaurant is conveniently located near the town center. You can dine inside or there is a lovely patio area too. The food is really good - rustic Mediterranean - lots of fresh pasta dishes (like one with shaved truffles) - huge portions -great value - great service....and they have food for celiacs. This place was recommend to us by some tour guides who go there whenever they are in town and I too highly recommend it.Everyone we met who worked at the restaurant spoke Italian, German, and English and so help with the menu was easy.

This place enjoy a good loaction as from here there are plenty of trekking paths departing . This restaurant has therefore always enough customers for them not to take too much care of the customers. we waited to be seated from a waitress with little attitude while there were few free tables , food and service is nothing to be remembered . Service basic and not friendly , but if you are in this are the closer option is at least one hour walking away

We tried the weinerschnitzel here one evening and liked it so much we returned for an encore another evening. Large portions and even with a salad bar one time. Service is slow as they seem understaffed, but the ladies were friendly.

Family Hofer will spoil you with a personal, natural and authentic cuisine. We give great importance to South Tyrolean fresh products, even from our own farm.
Great place as reward after a long walk uphill. One feels welcome, and as being at home.Good home cooking, good service, and clean. Their well tasting "Jaeger tee" may help the downwards return walk. Check opening hours before your walk, as they are not open all year. If your starting point is Voels, best to take the path up (parts are a bit steep), and road down.Dear Michael, thank you very much for your nice words. We are very happy that you enjoyed the day at Hofer Alpl. Hope to see you another time. Best regards Family Hofer

The food was not great - a salad tasted like it had been made from tinned tuna rather than fresh food. Service was very slow and then the waiter arrived with the wrong number of drinks. Its a beautiful building with frescoes on the outside, well located near the market but avoid.
