We came for the half-marathon this weekend & maybe that accounts for the less-than-great service, food & experience. Clearly very under-staffed, food arrived sporadically, no silverware, my cup was broken & leaking...no napkins. Probably won't be back. Hoping it was just an off night for them.

My wife and I were stopping in Texarkana on a Sunday night looking for something other than standard chain restaurants. Itâs a tough challenge- most options are closed, but Verona was open. Located in a deserted downtown area, it presented an oasis. Local art displayed on the walls and a subdued decor offered us a roadhouse respite. Great shrimp appetizer with sublime spinach.creme brulee were standouts. We will be back to try more on the menu

The food is wonderful but always has 1 server for 8 tables. It really is a shame because the food is great.

When you eat at an Olive Garden, you know what to expect. The salad was very good. The chicken parmigan was a bit over done - actually charred at the edge! Our waitress was friendly, and provided good service. Overall, it was a good place to eat.

I wasn't surprised that Gusano;s Chicago Style Pizzeria is so highly rated on Tripadvisor. Their ranking is justly deserved. They offer their customers a wonderful and tasty selection of Appetizers & Salads, Sandwiches, Calzones (4, in fact) and of course a wonderful selection of pizzas. You could order any pizza with an 8, 10, 13 or 16 inch crust as well as the Chicago style with 9 inch to 12 inch crusts. Their prices are very affordable and range from $7.99 to $22.99 per pie.I ordered their Dirty Bird (and yes, that is the name of the pizza) which is composed of honey habanero sauce with chicken, pineapple, purple onions, jalapenos and mozzarella and cheddar cheese. It was delicious and it was far superior to anything that I could have purchased from one of the American pizza chains. I just love being able to take my taste buds on an adventure.Just want to give a shout out to my waitress, Kendra, who made me feel so very welcome as a customer and who was so very knowledgeable about the Gusano's menu. It was no surprise that she has been serving Gusano's pizzas since the place opened 6 years ago!Travelers Tip: Gusano's is super easy for the Interstate 30 traveler to locate. Just exit the Interstate at the Richmond Road exit and head north past Sam's Club. Gusanos is located in the strip mall to your right just past the car wash. And let me add a note to Parents. This place is suitable for teenagers and adults. I would suggest taking the kiddies to that kid friendly place nearby in Central Mall for pizza and games. Note to Tour Buses: There is plenty of seating inside to take care of a busload of hungry travelers! And finally, yes, they do serve alcohol to their customers.
