Reviews on Italian food in Swansea, United Kingdom. Birthplace of poet Dylan Thomas, and the second-largest city in Wales, resilient Swansea offers a slew of leafy parks and some impressive cultural centers, including the new National Waterfront Museum and the renowned Dylan Thomas Centre. Rebuilt after WWII, the modern city of 230,000 has a charming outlook over Swansea Bay and the picturesque, unspoiled 16-mile-long Gower Peninsula, home to rich wildlife, prehistoric standing stones, dramatic cliffs and lovely beaches.

Early lunch with easy parking nearby. Good welcome and quick service. The lunch menu had varied choices with the full menu also available. All the dishes were well presented, looked good and tasted even better. Portion sizes were more than adequate, so no one should go home hungry! My only slight complaint was that the music was rather loud and possibly conversation stopping -- people on their phones didn't notice!! The total cost was a very acceptable £46 for two people including drinks and coffee. Two course lunch £12 per person - excellent value.

ASK Italian in Swansea is a place for great food and warm service. Think fresh bread made to tear and share. A glass of fine wine worth deserving of your time. Delicious main dishes prepared the traditional way. Everything we know and love about Italian f
Family meal with 3 vegetarians in the group, plenty of choice for them. All meals were very nice, service was fast and friendly, restaurant was clean and tidy. Only slight negative was that it was a bit loud, both the music and generally.

Went here for a quick lunch in the cafe section. Not sure if restaurant section would be any better.Very very very dissatisfied, would not recommend this to place to anyoneWe went to Mermaids a few nights before and that was much better food, service, atmosphere and value for money.Staff do the minimal required of them, greet you at door, show you to seat and give you a menu.Once you have chosen what you want to eat, you then have to get up and pay for food and drinks at the till, this took a while as it seemed challenging for the guy at the till to remember more than one item at a time.Thinking they make you pay first, as most people who know good food, would walk off without paying.Waitstaff brought food and drinks and that was our last interaction.Didn't get a chance to complain about their sh1it food as they didn't come back to check on meals. In a nutshell food was crap, I am from Australia and view or no views a restaurant like this wouldn't last three months with food and service of this standard.I am flabbergasted that this place has been in operation for 15 years or more, the only reasons I can see they have survived is because of the view, turnover of tourists and the fact that they are the only restaurant within about 1/2 mile, so once you've paid for your parking.....Had a Tortellini pasta with creamy tomato sauce, the pasta was not cooked properly (undercooked)and was just the type that you get pre prepared from a supermarket, tomato sauce was basic and not very flavourful, and no offer of shaved parmesan or cracked pepper.Toasted sandwich was okay, but for the price would have expected a larger serve.Onion soup was average with stale cheese croutons.Toasted Ciabatta with Onion and goat's cheese was very ordinary and bread was stale as well. The salad garnishes on each were woeful, have seen prettier weeds in my garden. All in all, if you are heading this way and the weather is good, save yourself some coin, grab some ready to go food from Tesco or a similar supermarket and sit on the grass in front of the restaurant.I did see some Pizzas come out and they looked okay, but again for the price they are charging they should be.Would rate a zero, but have to give a one to pass on my advice for other fellow travellers.Oh and the Wi-Fi didn't work either, connected and no internet, would have told staff, but they didn't come back to check on anything. To recapVery very very dissatisfied, would not recommend this to place to anyone.Trip advisor would not allow for the original review I wrote to be published as it contained profanitySo this is the edited version!

Had 2 wraps as well as 3 small taps dishes and they all were brilliant. Portions were really big and the meat and veg options for my wife again was absolutely fabulous highly recommended. Sorry totally forgot photos before eating.

Read good reviews, so thought we'd give it a try. Both had asparagus to start and fillet steaks for mains, accompanied by a bottle of malbec. Food well presented, excellent quality and flavour. Waiter very friendly and helpful. Didn't have room for dessert but had a fab double espresso. Would highly recommend a visit.

This is an excellent and reasonably authentic Italian eatery. It is comfortably set out and nicely decorated without people being too much on top of each other. The staff are cheerful and helpful and bring out the food and drink efficiently and quickly but you never feel that you are being hurried along. The only real negative is the lack of a disabled toilet (the regular ones provided are too low and there are no supporting rails).

What a lovely little place! The food was excellent, cooked to perfection. We had chicken and steak respectively and both were cooked just right. The service was excellent as well. A definite plus was the lack of loud music, it was possible to have a conversation rather than having to shout over loud music. Disappointed we did not find this earlier and went before.Thank you for the lovely comments. We're so glad you enjoyed your visit. Now you've found us, you can definitely come again. Look forward to seeing you in the future. Regards Yvonne and Paul

Italian cafe/deli by day and Rustic Trattoria by night. We pride ourselves in fresh and homemade Italian food.
Lovely food and coffee. The evening meals are superb and great value for money. It's a BYO restaurant (Bring your own) and I've never been charged corkage. The table is yours for the whole evening which makes it a great venue for a group of people wanting a pleasant meal together. Book early to avoid disappointment. LOVE THIS PLACE !
