Unfreundliches Personal. Qualität des Rohschinkens lieà zu Wünschen übrig, Reklamation wurde nicht ernst genommen. Kartenzahlung nicht möglich, auch hier wurde Personal unfreundlich.

Geeignet um im Sommer auf dem Freisitz einen Drink zu nehmen. Vom Essen sollte man die Finger lassen. Qualität der eingesetzten Produkte lässt stark zu wünsche übrig. Als Speiselokal nicht zu empfehlen.

Das Klarl befindet sich in Straubing in der Albrechtgasse. Da die Gaststätte nur relativ kurz geöffnet ist (Sonntag Ruhtag) sollte man vorher die Ãffnung überprüfen. Auf dem Weg dorthin vom Marktplatz kann man über das Schicksal der Baderstochter Agnes Bernauer nachlesen, der ersten Frau von Albrecht. Die Gaststätte verfügt noch über die alte Jugendstilausstattung, wofür sie in vielen Führern zurecht gerühmt wird. Neben der breiten Auswahl an Weinen gibt es vor allem mediterran geprägte Kleinigkeiten zum Essen.

Wir waren dort beim Abendessen, wir waren mit Service, und Qualität sehr zufrieden. Die Bedienung war wirklich sehr nett. Die Lage des Hauses ist schön von der Innenstadt zu Fuà zu erreichen.

I guess you would call me a medical tourist. I came to Germany to have surgery done b the world famous Dr. Bertagnoli in nearby Bogen. Dr. Bertagnoli has arranged for post operation stays in Straubing at the hotel Theresientor. So I was a guest in the Theresientor hotel for about two weeks. A friend who came to see me through the surgery and I made daily treks to try nearby restaurants. La Piccola was so wonderful we ended up eating there three times.First, there is a printed menu but there is also a daily special menu written on a small chalk board the bring to your table when you first come in. I mostly went with the specials. Our waiter was always Mauro because he spoke good English and he was always happy to discuss any of the menu items or specials and make recommendations. The rest or the staff was equally attentive. The service is on par with any 5 star restaurant in the US.The food was usually outstanding but one item in the three meals was a it off. It was rack of lamb and it was a bit salty. Mauro sent it back to the kitchen and it was promptly redone with less salt. I am sure if I had asked to order something different instead they would have gladly replaced the item.The ambience here is of an elegant but also family run restaurant that sets high standards for the quality of their food and the owner and head chef, Andrea, likes to experiment. But he wants his guests to enjoy whatever he cooks up. So he would make it his personal mission to fix or replace anything served that does not met or exceed the guests expectations.At the end of nearly every meal Andrea would come to our table to make sure we liked everything. One night his wife, who also hosts in the restaurant, joined us and Mauro for a final toast as it was our last night before we left.

Insgesamt ein guter Italiener, jedoch sollte man Zeit einplanen wenn das Lokal voll ist. Bis wir unsere Getränke hatten, verging fast eine dreiviertel Stunde, bis das Essen dann kam dauerte es eine weitere Stunde.Leider haben sie es dann trotzdem nicht geschafft unsere 4 Essen gleichzeitig zu bringen, sondern die Pizze kamen erst, als die anderen beiden mit dem Essen schon fertig waren.Das Essen war einwandfrei, die Pizza aus dem Steinofen sehr gut. Das Restaurant hätte auf jeden Fall eine zweite Chance verdient falls ich mal wieder nach Straubing komme, auch wenn der erste Eindruck eher gemischt war.

Ein Restaurant erster Klasse. Wir haben dort Geburtstag gefeiert. Hervorragende Küche mit einem sehr guten Koch und einem sehr guten Gastgeber. Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen. Ein tolles Dankeschön. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder

The Italian food was the best we had in Europe. We lived in Bavaria for 6 months and ate here at least twice a week. The pasta is all made from scratch and the meals are like nothing you can get in the states. I DREAM of Cosimo's pasta!! I highly recommend this restaurant as our favorite in Europe!
