I have really enjoyed Geppetto, but now I feel that the atmosphere has changed: it is not as friendly and cozy as it used to be. You feel that you’re in hurry when there. Also you really need to book in advance, otherwise there is no way to get in.Je sui désolé cher grande amie hier une personne mois en cuisine le restaurant est plus petit toi tu est ma grade amie katarina et je t’aime ❤️ tu me connais très bien tu est ma préférée amie ciao à bien tôt

Made in Sud Pizzeria Restaurant

Made in Sud is born in 2014, as a small family pizzeria from Neapolitan veraciums located in the harbor district of Nice, in our pizzas we put our knowledge on the pizza that we passed down from generation to generation. We put so much love and passion. i

The pizza was OK but most definitely NOT the best pizza in Nice - by a long way.Only one size of pizza which was quite large (definitely too much for me) - we wanted to order one to share but were told we couldn’t - ridiculous!! - We would actually have spent more if we had shared a pizza as would then probably have had dessert and another drink and/or coffee as well.We both had a Diavalo pizza (basically pepperoni) - base too ‘doughy’ for my liking and very spicy /peppery but in a way that overpowered the taste and left me with heartburn. Service was not with a smile - told to pay at the counter and then left standing there ...Visit Nice regularly but won’t be back here - do yourself a favour and go elsewhere - plenty of choice!!

Illia Pasta

The Cote D'Azur has plenty of Italian restaurants given it's close proximity Italy, but Illia stands out. It's a tiny little place, but the owner is very friendly (speaks Italian, English, and French) and hand makes his pasta. The bolognese was delicious and not heavy and so reasonably price! We went back the next day because they had sold out of dishes we wanted to try, and we were not disappointed at all! The menu is limited, but the quality is fantastic.

Olivia was our waitress for 3 nights- incredible service and so kind! Let me repeat... we went for 3 night out of 4 nights in Villefranche. We didn’t go on Monday night only because they were closed. It was the best Italian we’ve ever had. The owners are from Italy- al dente pasta, incredible sauces... no Parmesan cheese needed here! Bon Appetito!

Not particularly cheap but very good food. The starter of baked camembert wrapped in bacon was really tasty and the foie gras had an excellent flavour. Our dourade main course was beautifully cooked and tender. Sitting outside on the harbour front on a beautiful late summer evening eating good food - what’s not to enjoy?!

We ate lunch here on a trip to the beautiful Villefranche-Sur-Mer and were not disappointed. We had the three course set menu including escargots. First time trying these and they were delicious, followed by fish and a yogurt based desert. Everything tasted fresh and home made. The service provided by the two ladies who assume run the restaurant was friendly and relaxing. Highly recommend

Le Serre

We visited Le Serre twice during this holiday, and we’d been looking forward to it since last summer when we visited last. The setting is perfect; nestled in a narrow alleyway underneath Persian archways, at the foot of a grand church, with towering ancient apartment blocks on either side, the restaurant sits about halfway up the hill of the old town. The service, as always, was excellent, from the same two young ladies who seem to have been there for years, and who always pride themselves on customer service and experience. There were four of us, and we’ve found that due to it’s popularity it’s best to book a table for about 45 minutes later, then go for a drink in one of the many bars availableIn Villefranche-sur-Mer. My partner and I chose the Daube Nicoise et Raviolis, the best meal out we’ve ever had; the braised beef melts in the mouth and the spinach and ricotta raviolis compliment perfectly. Our 18 year old and her partner chose the steak in mushroom sauce and all four us enjoyed a pitcher of the house white; crisp, cold, and delicious.I love their creme brûlée, and my partner and the youngsters had the coconut flan special which they couldn’t get enough of. All incredibly reasonably priced and an absolute must if you’re visiting Villefranche!
