A wonderful wine bar with attached restaurant in a beautiful building, formerly used for olive oil processing. A fascinating centre-piece in the cavern-like restaurant is the large original olive press which was powered by ponies harnessed to the stone crushing wheels.We had a very tasty bruschetta selection followed by two delicious home-made pasta dishes: spaghettone with prawns and asparagus, and artichoke-filled tortellini, both with deliciously flavoured sauces. A comprehensive wine selection was offered, where we focussed on the superb local Aglianico.Overall, with the attentive and charming service this was a special evening in a special place.

Found the place by chance but got decent lunch at a reasonable price. Good pasta all'arrabiata and tasty scaloppine. As a compliment we got delicious pasta fritta with bread which was also very good.

After visiting Castel del Monte, we were looking for a place to have lunch and as we didn't fancy any of the touristic establishments near the castle, we drove to Spinazzola. First of all let me state that one must not be put off by the location or the not too inviting entrance of this restaurant, it is a local pizzeria frequented by the locals so it hasn't got any frills. Past that, the restaurant is very inviting and you have a set lunch with an appetizer and the choice of 4 starters and 4 mains, plus vine and water, for 18⬠per persons. If you choose homemade pasta you will have to wait a bit as it is cooked to order, but well worth the 10 minutes wait.All in all one of the best meal we had in Puglia and good value for money.

Si mangia bene, come se fossimo a casa. Con la differenza che qui le portate sono tante e gli alimenti quasi tutti a km 0. Tantissimi antipasti, buoni i primi e i secondi. Forse mi aspettavo di più dal dolce. Buono il vino rosso della casa. Luogo rustico, locale pulito e accogliente. Unici nei non hanno a che fare con il cibo: mancanza di pos e quindi si paga solo in contanti e mancanza di sapone nella toilette. Per il resto tutto apprezzabile. Ci ritornerei.
