We came here in the evening to enjoy a nice meal, and that is what we did. Initially we wanted to sit outside, but were bothered by the anti-mosquito burners. All the food was well prepared, but I wish I would have shared my huge starter. All in all we enjoyed our evening here.

We were recommended to this restaurant by an Italian colleague who lives nearby and we had a great experience. Fish is the main thing hereFull to bursting with locals on a Friday night, that told us this would be good, and it was. This is not complicated cooking, it's family run and all about simple food, using the best and freshest local ingredients all cooked to perfectionWith very little English spoken here, we kind of let them feed us and we ended up with lots of different sea food then finished up with whole oven baked sea bass on a bed of sautéed potatoes that had fist been pre-boiled in broth (or so we think)If you like this type of food, we really do highly recommend this restaurant

There are many choices for gelato at this establishment and it is centrally located. I was a bit surprised at how perfunctory the service was though. The young lady behind the counter seemed reluctant to serve us and more concerned about her iPhone. Disappointing as so much of your impression of an establishment is determined by how you are served. We would recommend for gelato here just not pleased with the overall experience

Directed by the owner (Andrea) of the B&B we are staying, this little pizzeria named "Bar Sport" serves brilliant pizza~! I tasted my very first bite of their signature yet heavenly made pizza "Sport Pizza" (at EURO6.00) at 2200 after a tiring flight from France. I can never forget the taste of the pizza and will highly recommend everyone who stop by this lovely little town to simply grab a pizza from this wonderful pizzeria~! You sure will fall in love with it~! Note: their staffs speak limitted English but still we were impressed by their warm hospitality! THUMB UP!Address: Pizzeria BAR SPORT: Via S. Antonino, 100 - 31100 Treviso. Tel. [--]

A great hysteria and I only wish I lived closer. Friends of ours have been coming here for a long time. Nice selection of wines and the best mortadella I have had. Could be dangerous if you lived close. I will be back

Booked a table at carbone under the illusion of reviews it being no.1 in Treviso !! Starter was ok , T-bone steak was fantastic but desert was mediocre at best , politeness felt quite forced by main waiter and felt locals were received better although not made to feel uncomfortable , had to ask twice for bill and it came eventually after twenty fives minutes

We were staying at the Hotel Rovere and decided that it may take less time to walk to this restaurant than into the centre of Treviso. I do not think that there was much difference but we were pleased we chose La Bassa as it was the best meal we had whilst in Treviso. I started with the antipasto to share. This had a good variety of meats, cheese and vegetables. I then had a steak which was nicely cooked and very tender. It was washed down with several glasses of the excellent and reasonably priced house red. The friendly proprietors took the trouble to explaine the menu to us in English and we found all of their staff to be friendly and helpful. Whilst the restaurant had a varied menu it did seem to specialise in meat. Carnivores will not be disappointed.

The food is simply fantastic. Wine list is great, with several excellent wines from different regions in Italy. The chef manages to make the best of fresh local products, and the result is simply great. The restaurant has funny, a-symmetric tables, trying to be a bit out of the ordinary. Highly recommended.

Our last dinner in Italy after some mixed food experiences, and this place was definitely the best! Amazing wine, amazing food, amazing decor, amazing staff and amazing music! We had the fried zucchini flower, a tomato salad and a rib eye, cooked to perfection. As for the wines, we had red and white (and aperol spritz too), and the staff was very... Enological, if that's a word. This area is a bit low on the foodie side, so this place was a great surprise!
