We were fortunate enough to get a reservation here after multiple attempts. It is a fixed 5 course meal ($65) with wine pairings ($15 per person per glass) with each course. The atmosphere was very nice and personal (family run joint). The owner personally meets all the guests and explains each meal and wine pairing. Our first three courses were fantastic, especially the fresh mozzarella. The next two were good, but not great for the price point. Unfortunately, this was not a 5 star experience for the price you pay and it would take several improvements to become one. It would have been nice to have the wine, which was amazing, decanted and room temperature instead of cold (especially the reds). Cloth instead of paper napkins and new silverware with each coarse. Lastly, the owner speaks at lightning speed when describing the wine/meal and it feels you're being rushed at times.

Providence Coal Fired Pizza is Rhode Islandâs only Coal-Fired Pizza Restaurant using authentic Pennsylvania coal. Our coal oven is even more unique - designed and manufactured in Bellingham, Washington, our custom oven cooks authentic pizza recipes, along
As I've mentioned before, I've been spoiled by being so close to New Haven Connecticut's famous pizza restaurants and the amazing pizza's they produce. If you like thin pizza, then Providence Coal Fired Pizza is for you. Our oval shaped meatball pie had the perfect amount of coal char on the bottom. It was really good. Very tasty. Definitely ranks high on the pizza we like list. I'm sure you will like it to.Finish your night off with the strawberry cheesecake or chocolate mousse and everything will be alright.Service at 8pm on a Thursday night was great. The noise level for the large open room wasn't bad either. Within walking distance to the arena, convention center and a few hotels. The night we dined free valet parking was offered.

Joseph and Esther DeQuattro introduced Pane e Vino to Providence, RI in 2002. Grounded in the spirit and tradition of Southern Italy, at Pane Vino youâll find your favorite dishes expertly prepared and served in a rustic but elegant setting. Combining the
We went here for Providence Restaurant Week, the food was excellent, Everything was about presentation and was very good. The appetizer was stuffed squash flowers which I had had back in 2015. This time they were too heavily breaded. The first time they were lightly floured and appeared to be dipped in egg and friend. This time they had a breading batter on them which was way too heavy for the delicate flower. All main entrees were excellent. The sea bass was particularly delicious. My husband had a sausage/pasta dish that he just loved. The dessert was Tiramisu which was very good also, but after the heavy appetizer was more than any of us could finish. I will go back but hope they fix the squash flowers. The stuffing on them however is really delicious.

We learned of this restaurant from a tour operator and decided to try it. We were not disappointed. Excellent food, service and bar, with good wine selections. Expensive, but worth the price. Camille's has been a Rhode Island dining landmark since 1914. Executive Chef John Granata's masterful versions of classical Italian dishes, melded with eye-popping creative fare amazes guest on a nightly basis.
We were visiting friends from Portsmouth RI. They said this was a nice restaurant and they had been there a few times before. This trip was disappointing. The veal Marsala $31.00 was tough as well as the Veal Parmigiana, capellini $31.00. The Gnocchi $20.00 was doughy. The Crab Ravioli $30.00 was OK but nothing special. The service was fine. The wine list is quite extensive (Wine Spectator award) but they are expensive.$64.00 for a $17.00 Nebbiolo that I have purchased retail at more than one shop. All and all this was a disappointment when looking forward to a nice dinner in a classy setting. We probably won't return.

I was here last week for a takeout sandwich. The new location is really well done. The old place had some character for sure but this is much larger and will get it's own character. The food was a little above average, again I just did a sandwich for takeout. Service was great. I will be back but not running back.

From Joseph + Esther DeQuattro of Pane Vino comes the much anticipated Massimo. Massimo brings the quintessential Italian trattoria to Providenceâs Federal Hill Neighborhood. Offering a seasonal Italian menu inspired by the regional cuisines of Italy. Sig
I will never have carbonara pasta again. Because no carbonara will ever be as good as the one I ate last week at Massimo. Phenomenal. The gluten-free penne was not extraordinary on its own (apart from its existence, which was wonderful!!), but the sauce was just incredible. My gluten-ful friend enjoyed her ravioli dish--we quit talking and ate for a solid half hour, because it was so excellent. We also ordered a celiac-friendly caprese special for an appetizer that might be the best caprese either of us had ever had. The tomatoes were juicy and fresh, the mozzerella was the perfect texture, and the basil was bright and fresh.I may go back to Rhode Island just to have this meal again. The service was excellent, and our desserts (gluten free chocolate cake/fudge for me!) and cocktails were spot-on.

Love the food; inventive choices and always a pleasant buzz (noisy to some). Tried some seasonal items; squash flowers are excellent, corn pizza a treat. Pasta dishes as always best in flavor in Providence. Wine and service were very good but the issue is the wait. I get it no reservations except for 6 or more so Iâm prepared for a 60+ minute wait. Itâs the lack of waiting area to enjoy a drink or 2. The bar is taken up with people eating NOT drinking leaving us âwaitersâ to search for a seat (there were none) or stand around in everyoneâs way.So go with 6 or more or go at 5pm anything other is a torturous, uncomfortable wait not befitting such a great restaurant.

Whenever I travel to the Providence area for business I have to stop here for a sandwich and takeout provisions. My favorite is the Brasaola Sandwich with arugula, shaved parmesan and truffle oil. Best pick on the menu.
