I stayed in Scoglitti for months and these guys know how to make panini and crepes using the freshest ingredients. One of my favourites was the smoked salmon panino and the horse crepe, you should probably try if you're game. Open till very late which is great after leaving a nite club at 3am

For a dinner of spaghetti vongole (2), mixed grilled fishplate (1), cassata (1),a large bottle of aqua minerale frizzante, a caraffe of red vine (no taste) my friend an I had to pay 70,- Euros. The restaurant has, as common in Sicily, no menue. We visited the place twice (the first and surely the last time).

If you happen to be in the beautiful beach town of Scoglitti, don't miss the place. The pizza is perfect and the staff is friendly and efficient. Eating here became our regular nightly routine. Can't wait to come back. And they speak American!

We came across the fishing village of Scoglitti rather hungry after a long day out. We looked for a fish restaurant in the area but most of them were closed at 16.00. The only one open in the top 5 was Gazirat. We were instantly greeted and shown to a table. The waitress explained what our options were and we decided to go for a fish based 24 course assaggi meal. The plates started coming through in no time. First were the raw dishes, 8 of them to be exact, these were followed by a large selection of mussels and clams and finally the fried dishes. By the end of it we felt that we could go no further although the chef came out to show us a selection of fresh fish. We were presented with two types of finger licking desserts and two amari to close off an incredible culinary experience. At 130 euros including a 25 euro wine this was a very decently priced meal fit for the gods. Thanks and we look forward to come once again

We were looking for a place to eat yesterday morning short after 1PM in Scoglitti. We were not looking for something special... we need just to eat. Well... we relied as usual to the tripadvisor booking system and the choice was really appropriate! We were three people. Of course the restaurant was the realm of fish. At first the menu left has a bit confused: just a list of fixed menu choices was available. The price was also pretty high (for our standard!) (From 40 euro, drinks included, on...per person). However, the restaurant, giving the Tripadvisor-users feedback was clearly the best in Scoglitti, therefore we have not doubted about our choice! All in all it was an amazing experience. I am not a big fan of fish actually, but every dish was really delicious, well- and professionally-served and more than enough! Moreover the location was also very good: we ate on a terrace with a nice view at the sea. Maybe when it is not that hot, one can even eat outside in front of the restaurant. Not yesterday, however...The only recommendation I would like to express to the owner, is to give the guests the possibility to enjoy a coffee at the end of the lunch/dinner. We asked of course, but were told they do not offer coffee... this is really unusual and also annoying for many!Keep going this way, thank you again, and see you next time!

Sakkaleo is the familiar name in Scoglitti for sea-food but I believe that this restaurant will be extremely popular soon. The restaurant is quite spacious but the decor as the name can be improved, if there are ambition for a top-eating establishment. But this is marginal - what it counts is the food experience and the young talented chef Sebastiano is there to please. The fish cruidite were on pair with Sakkaleo but what I find impressive is how Sebastiano presented a common mackerel (sgombro) making it into an amazing sashimi dish - it was marinated to perfection. This for me was a signature dish that could be eaten in any top-priced restaurant in London. The tuna with cappers was amazing too. Some of the ready-made dishes could have been improved but I understand that these are the plates requested by the locals. Not sure where this type of cuisine will be appreciated in southern Italy were quantity is often preferred to quality but mixing traditional with new it could be the way forward. It would be a pity if Sebastiano had to limit his creativity to simple traditional dishes. top rating as a do-well wish for the future.

All the fish was the freshest you could possibly get. This is so important at a restaurant that serves raw fish. The antipasti would have sufficed for me as there seemed to be no limit to the choice and volume. Some in our party wanted the âprimiâ and these were Tagliatelle with âbottargaâ and âNero di sepiaâ, neither of which I like but friends said they were excellent. Pricey place but worth visiting on occasion.

We stayed in this gorgeous countryside hotel for the weekend. I must say I have never seen one so organized and well kept. It was way better than being in a resort. Very spacious apartments, many fun filled activities, gorgeous pool, dancing, beautiful scenery and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!!! We were able to taste the best typical Sicilian delicaties from starters to desserts. The staff was very friendly and kind. I totally reccomend this natural paradise and can't wait to book another stay for a bit longer next time.
