This is such a great place. Incredibly well run (by Luciano), attentive and professional staff (who seem to love what they do) and wonderful fresh and ever changing seasonal offerings. Itâs great for dinner with friends, overseas visitors, and/or GF family members! Weekend brunch is also terrific with awesome eggs Benedict and wood Fire pizzas. Some of our staple orders here include the fried calamari with herb aioli (so more-ish), any of their daily fish specials, the insanely flavorful beef rigatoni and their steak with delicious fries. Perhaps our favorite thing here though is the list of daily specials that sit on top of the regular menu as itâs here that you find the most creative, seasonal options including things like soft shell crab, gazpacho with melon, roasted beans with burrata, wild bass with roasted fennel and artichoke purée. The list goes on...and weâll keep coming! Lastly they also make very good cocktails!

We stopped in at CJ's expecting a nice meal. What we got was great. Good service, fine pizza, and a really delicious chicken parm dinner. Fine soup, and the place is clean and neat. The clientele ranged from really young kids to old folks and was very friendly. We'll be back.

Four of us had excellent meals: pasta fagioli soup, meatball parm sub, eggplant parmigiano and the most mussels I've ever been served in a Fra diavolo sauce. Everyone enjoyed their including a nice piece of cheesecake. Carl our server was excellent and I assume the owner Christina stopped by.

Located on highway 9G, this family owned restaurant is a classic American pizzeria, serving hearty and customizable pizzas, greek specialties including desserts, and sizeable salads accompanied by delicious house-made greek dressing. Comfortable booths and friendly and attentive service make the dining experience enjoyable, and having recently moved to the area, this restaurant has quickly become a family favorite.

We just fancied a pizza Posto was recommended. We had great fast service and our pizza was very good but just a little 'sloppy'. But this did not spoil our pizza.

We went here before a movie. We split a pizza and a Chicken Francaise entree. The Soup was cheddar broccoli. Very good cheese flavor. The Chicken Francaise was great after adding a little grated cheese. It was a very generous portion. The pizza was good. There was a generous amount of cheese on it. The server was friendly and professional. The only aspect not giving 5 stars is because the soup oyster crackers were stale and we did not get bread but other tables did.

Village Pizza III provides Pizza, Sandwiches, Carry Out Service and Dine-in Service to the Red Hook, NY area.
We were walking around town and decided to âgrab a slice.â The restaurant was very casual, no servers but ample tables. They were fairly busy on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered at the counter and took a seat. The prices were very reasonable and the food is good. We had plain cheese slices that had a tasty sauce and the ratio of sauce to cheese on a crispy crust was spot on.

A true representation of Italian cuisine, we serve dishes that are carefully crafted using wholesome ingredients and tradition that spans generations.
Very good food (lovely risotto), thoughtful wines, and informed service. However, ambiance is mixed: the tables are uncomfortably close together in the main room and the back room is unpretentious to an extreme, as in very plain. The open kitchen gives a nice bustling vibe in the front and adds some charm. The restaurant is a good choice in Red Hook, where it is expensive given others in the town but medium by NY standards.

Savona's has become our favorite Italian restaurant in the mid-Hudson Valley. When we meet with local friends, this is usually our first choice location. The proprietors always try to accommodate our needs. Last time we neglected to make a reservation on a Monday night when we did not expect a large crowd, which was a mistake--it was the night before the Dutchess County Fair opened, and the place was packed. Somehow, they fit us in and made us feel welcome. It does not matter what you order--you cannot get a bad meal here. During one lunch we had on our last trip, they did not have veal. The chicken version of the dish was still great. Their zuppa di pesce bites back at you. Their pastas are fresh. The house cooks them al dente. There is gluten-free pasta available. One friend has several food allergies/sensitives, and the menu item, Salmon Limoncello, was adapted for her needs. For this review, we had to select type of visit â Couples or Friends, Lunch or Dinner. Our answer is yes. We visited as a couple for lunch one day, and returned for dinner with friends another day. We look forward to going back again and again during our annual, or more frequent, trips to the area!
