Long known as Kansas City's premier Italian restaurant, this family owned and operated establishment has been an important part of the city's dining experience Since 1963. For over 45 years, V's formula for pleasing its guests is simply combining uncompro
My sister and I went here for a late lunch after having received the recommendation by the Drury Inn staff. We always ask for a restaurant that is not a chain, and we tell them that we don't care what we eat but we want it to be the best the area has available. It can be a dive or a 5-star restaurant. They said V's is the place to go! I had the chicken speidini and my sister had an Italian sausage sandwich. My meal came with a side salad and I selected the House dressing, which was a sweet Italian dressing. It was delicious and went well with the basket of bread that was placed on our table. The Speidini was delicious, though heavy on the garlic and served with roasted garlic cloves on the side! It was a little heavy on the garlic for my preference but I ate it all! My sister's sandwich was also tasty (we always share) and she was happy with her meal. My Speidini was $15.64 after tax. This was not the best Italian food I've ever eaten but the service was great, the food was good, the ambiance was quaint, and it was a new dining experience! Worth a stop!

My husband had the Tour. Be sure to order the Italian Butter...it must be a full cup of seasoned light oil for fresh bread. I ordered linguine and clams. Large portions, deeeeelightful dinner. Sauce was to die for. Great waitress; tuned to Sinatra. Prices excellent for what you get. Had no idea where to eat. Our host from Hawthorn B&B recommended it. We do too. Itâs obviously a spot for regular customers.

Nestled in historic Independence Square, Café Verona will whisk you from the Midwest to the romance of Italy.
We went on a Friday night. We had reservations. They were busy but we were served fast. The cocktails were delicious. We ordered the tomato bruschetta for an appetizer. The tomatoes were so greasy! I had the caprese salad and prosciutto wrapped shrimp on risotto with asparagus. The food was delicious. For dessert we shared the lemon berry cake. It was so good!!! I really recommend this restaurant.

What can I say....Iâm a creature of habit. I usually order the âTourâ because I like that sampling of lasagna, fettuccine, and chicken parm. Bring out that salad and breadsticks, and finish things off with dessert, and Iâm ready for an afternoon nap! Delicioso!

Gourmet and going to stay that way - Since 1976. Hungry? Order online now! From the moment you bite into one of Minsky's Zagat Award-winning gourmet pizzas, you'll understand why Minsky's has been voted "Kansas City's Best Pizza" time and time again. At M
Minsky's is a KC institution, and this location fits the bill. Authentic old KC charm. Can come in dressed in baseball cap & shorts & tees, or in a suit after church. Thick crust, deep-dish pizza served using fresh ingredients. Wait times can vary as can service quality, but hey, you ain't here for fine dining. Good value for a pizza joint. Not much of a wine list, but good beer menu.
