Our Dubai family had been to this restaurant before and recommended making a reservation as soon as we arrived to ensure we had the chance to eat at L'Olivo. We were not disappointed and enjoyed one of the very best Italian meals, ever.Attentive service, sensible portions, pleasant atmosphere and exceptionally tasty dishes. Having experienced many restaurants in Italy - and plenty of other countries attempts at producing their dishes - it is a great compliment to place L'Olivo at the top of the list. The most astounding point is that this is just one of half a dozen excellent restaurants in an 'all inclusive hotel'. I could pay £60/£75 in London for such a meal and it not be anything like as good.

An Authentic Italian Restaurant with thin crust pizza, home made Gelato and a variety of meditteranean dishes together with a Thai section for authentic Thai and Asian favorites
I used to love this place, but now it changed its location and it seems a bit lost. It has also lost its Thai chef, so you have only good/average Italian food. What a shame...

PURO was inspired by our breathtaking terrace view overlooking the brilliant blue waters of the Arabian Gulf. This light and airy spot, which informs our simple, fuss-free menu of fresh Mediterranean flavours, is a stylish space to grab a quick lunch, lin
Puro is curiously located on the outskirts of Al Marjan Island, moments away from Al Hamra with its Hilton and Waldorf Hotels. Itâs inconspicuous, positioned inside what resembles an office or government building. You would need to know it is there (third floor via elevator). There are two dining areas including a deli-like section revealed when you arrive in the elevator offering items also to take away (perhaps for the neighbouring office workers?). The crown jewel is the floor-to-ceiling window facing outside uninterrupted across the ocean and beaches of Ras Al Khaimah. And now you realise why you came here. This is a beautiful view in a simply decorated room with neutral colours restrained to frame the azure coast line. If this terrace is open during the cooler months, this is an enviable location for a Mediterranean restaurant channeling the scenery and vista that tourists flock to see. The menu is Mediterranean leaning menu replete with nods towards those classic favourite like mushroom risottos, lasagna, chicken Milanese, Greek salad and Caesar salads. Certain dishes are a strain on the Mediterranean concept such as chicken tikka or paneer wraps and smoked salmon. Nonetheless, the theme is clear and delivered. I ordered the Suppli and Nicoise Salad: classic dishes from different regions in the Med. The Suppli course is generously portions especially as an appetiser; three Suppli about the size of a medium Maris Piper potato arrive each topped with a different sauce: tomato, grated cheese (unclear which) and a pesto smear. This could be a main course if served with a small salad which, for 35 dhs, is a steal. The Suppli is crunchy but a little stodgy which is to be expected. Each is also stuffed with cheese (unclear which kind). It is a heavy dish and one that could easily be shared as a starter. The Nicoise Salad is made with canned tuna, fresh leaves, potato, mild but tangy capers, hard boiled quail eggs (nice touch), white onion, green beans and french dressing. This is also a decent salad size, nicely dressed and well presented. For 45 dhs, this is also very reasonable. The tuna is steaky and the whole dish works well together to balance the acidic elements with a creamy french dressing that pulls things together. It is not an ostentatious or luxurious Niçoise salad but at this price point it is a good bowl and would be interesting to see if it is available for takeaway if you live/work in the local area as a healthy light bite. The service was attentive but I was also the only person here so what would you expect!Would I come back? This is interesting. The price point is competitive, the view is nostalgic of Italy (save for the car park below) and the food is good while not pushing any culinary frontiers not surrendering to the trappings saturated in the hotels nearby. If I was in RAK I would come back to try some of their other main courses and come for dinner. Zomato suggests it has a full bar: white wine, Mediterranean food and a view? Iâll be back. But itâs important to note that this not a fancy place: itâs a good lunch spot.#mediterranean #salad #health #pasta #views #licensed

Indulge in the finest à la carte Italian classics and pair with fine wines from an extensive collection at the elegant Piaceri da Gustare restaurant. Perfect for couples, the restaurant's wide selections of classic Italian dishes are a must-have during a
We ate here twice during our stay and it really was a 'game of two halves'.... Our first visit, the food was bland, not at all authentic and lacked seasoning.... The team were extremely professional however and went out of their way to offer alternatives... The second visit was much better with a great pizza and super arrabiata penne! I appreciate it must be extremely difficult to get an authentic Italian flavour with local ingredients so I do empathise however, maybe some more thought to the menu would help?

A fun, friendly, family style Italian restaurant with daily specials on the blackboard. It features fresh ingredients and beautiful recipes all filled with love and passion just the way mama used to make it. Hours MONDAY - THURSDAY 18:30 pm - 10:30 pm FRI
Atmosphere: Welcoming and Warm. Decor is generally dated and dark. 4/5Cleanliness: Tables and Floors were clean. Plating and silver prepared for next guests. 4/5Food: Menu was concise with decent variety but far from authentic. Presentation and plating was exceptional. Flavors lacked in complexity and general seasoning. 2.5/5Service: Accommodating with good menu knowledge. Chef greeting. 5/5Value: Menu and Drink items overpriced for ingredients and flavor profiles. Dated decor with bar-like atmosphere: far from traditional. 2.5/5Overall: Due to the price point for the quality of the menu items, wouldn't recommend unless willing to over-spend for average meal. Both staff and chef are very well-intentioned.

Thunder Road Pizza & Grill - Italian Restaurant with American Twist - multi-award winning restaurant serving homemade good food.
Located in the Barracuda Resort, technically in Umm Al Quwain, this is an amazing place to eat and drink. The interior is funky with the bar and kitchen housed within a shipping container inside the building along with a pool table an outdoor children's play areas and a sea view, this place has a great vibe. It describes itself as a pizza bar and grill and boy does it deliver! The pizzas and calzone here are amazing, light & crispy base with generous mouthwatering toppings, just try and let it cool down before diving in!The hidden gem is the Parmigiana starter - an incredible mix of aubergine, tomatoes and cheese, served with piping hot pizza bread, you can thank me later.Don't forget to nominate your designated driver as there is a great selection of hops, grapes and more, all at amazing prices. A great spot for lunch if you are on a road trip.Ciao Richardo! Thanks a million for giving us a perfect rating and for recommending our restaurant to other food lovers. The entire crew enjoyed attending to your needs as much as you enjoyed the food that we cook with love. Weâre so happy you loved the Parmigiana starter the most and canât wait to have you back at Thunder Road Barracuda. Weâve heard our juicy and tender steaks are worth a try too ;) Take care and see you soon!Chef Chai & Thunder Road crew
