This is a place that at first may seem too simple, but just try and you will discover that regional mountain cuisine can be more unique than all the fancy stuff that you find everywhere else nowadays. Dishes are real from the region, ingredients are local top quality, and the cooking is naturally tasty and healthy. Try the simple "menu of the day" and you will be happy, but if you dare to dig further into the menu you will be surprised. Make sure you try their desserts, specially one that is their signature: the "sfogliata con frutti di bosco", that is a multi-layered cake filled with lemon zest sweet cream and mixed berries, presented in a shape that reminds of the alpine constructions: flakey flat stones with sweet filling in between. Oh, the service is a bit inconsistent but hey, this is Italy after all!

Tucked away down a narrow side street with a very quaint appealing entrance. Busy but efficiently run. Only a few tables and chairs. Delicious focaccia and plenty of other choices. Service friendly. A great place to grab a bite after a day's skiing. Definitely recommended.

Thanks to the people at La luge for making my last two Korean TMB trekking groups so happy and serving great steaks and burgers. We loved the food and enjoyed meeting the friendly staff. I will be back! Thank you Max and everyone else!

When I die, I donât want angels singing, or to be whisked above the clouds to some pearly gates before being admitted into the company of saints and deities. I want the sound of my pass pinging on the ski gate, the whir of the cable car and to be whisked up the mountain to the portals of Chateau Branlant. Because this place is heaven. I fully endorse the comments made below about this being the best place on the mountain, (which is saying something) and being the best place in Courmayeur. The food, service and ambience are first rate. Iâve eaten lunch and dinner here for the last three years on ski trips and it always blows us away. The lamb, âlambahâ, is epic. Here is our favourite waitress opening a sensational Jeraboam of red.

The hotel recommended us this place for a pizza and we were not disappointed! It was one of the best pizza I ever ate (and I am half Italian so I know what Iâm talking about). Fresh ingredients, thin dough and delicious tomato sauce. Plus it was so big I had to ask for a doggy-bag to bring 1/3 of it home ! The staff was very nice and the atmosphere is cosy and friendly (noisy in a good way). The place is very simple. I recommend !!!

I had been for a week end in Courmayeur with friends. The moment could not be more perfect than it was. A lot of snow after a great snowfall. The village plenty of a romantic atmosphere. And when we needed to complete the day with a beautiful dinner, we've got here, "Allo Sciatore", where the meats are "SUPER" but any other foods as well.Enjoy !

I had heard that some of the best restaurants in Italy are in Courmayeur. This is clearly one that deserves a better ranking in TripAdvisor... We ended up going twice in the week we stayed in town. The fondue mousse which we had as first course is outstanding! It's rare that I am this enthusiastic about a dish. It's light, fluffy and very refined. My wife had fried sweetbreads on both our visits, while I was also tempted by the roast pigeon breast and bread crumbed leg. Both were excellent. I also had a chocolate and citrus fruit pudding. Pleasantly tangy but perhaps not chocolately enough for my liking. Excellent service in classy surroundings in what from the outside looks like a rather unpretentious building. A must if you are a gourmet staying in Courmayeur.

The whole atmsphere is lovely here. Staff are cheerful and friendly, and food is great. We had pasta with wild boar ragu and gnocchi with rabbit ragu; both were delicicious and very filling. Prices are fair. Highly recommend.

Had an amazing meal at this family owned restaurant a few minutes outside of Courmayeur. The chef/owner Gianni was also my ski instructor during the week on the mountain and his cooking is as good as his skiing! Gianni and his wife warmly welcome you to enjoy wonderful food in their restaurant which is in the ground floor of their home, where they are the fifth generation to live there. Full of history and ambience - A very special place to enjoy authentic traditional Italian food. Thank you very mutch Lissa I hope that I'll have the opportunity for skiing and cooking for you another time.Ciao Gianni
