Portimao is a sailor’s delight, thanks to its calm waters and beautiful conditions. Plenty of elite international competitions happen here, but you don’t have to be a professional to set sail. Cruising the coast on the double-masted Santa Bernarda pirate ship is a family favorite. On dry land, you can wander the lovely Alvor boardwalk, enjoy a succulent seafood meal or zip around the go-kart track at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

I went with my family on the 3rd day of our holiday and the food was an absolute delight. There was a good selection of both pasta and pizza choices and the price was very reasonable and the staff were very friendly. There is a variety of Italian restaurants to choose from in Alvor but we were so impressed by Piccolo Mondo that we thought that it would be a waste of time trying any of the others as we had already found a little gem of a place and ate there on another 3 occasions. The restaurant is quite small and compact and there is a constant turn around of customers but we were never hurried or felt rushed.

Miss Pasta Restaurant Well placed in the centre of the complex, Pizzaria âMiss Pastaâ is the better choice for those who like Italian cuisine. With a wide choice of pizzas and pastas, this is the best option for that family meal. Open from April to Octobe
On arrival in Alvor we dropped our bags and went straight to our favourite place. We were greeted with smiles and made feel so welcome. The food is amazing and they serve you the portion size you want. We also got take away during our stay which was equally as nice. I would recommend you book to ensure you get a table as August was really busy.

The Volare restaurant closes for holidays. Thanks to the many customers who have honored us with their prenza and see you in March 2020!
A bit hidden as not on the main street but its worth a visit.Amazing food, had dinner there twice in a week. Great food and great service. Ingredients are fresh and really tasty, we highly recommend pizzas, caprese and tagliatelle bolognese; everything had a genuine italian taste. Being Italian but living in the UK, we were surprised to find such an authentic italian gem while on holiday in Portimao. Highly recommend this place, we felt at home. Too many fake versions of Italian food are being promoted around the world, keep up the good quality guys!!tank you very much!!!! bruno e lila

What a fabulous welcome we received . Fast and efficient service followed by delicious piping hot meals. The lasagna and artichoke pizza were very tasty and with generous portions for hungry customers. Thereâs a definite buzz in this restaurant as customers eat and chat- wonderful to see. Seating outside is ideal on warm days. Book during high season.

Cozy Italian wine & tapas bar with incredible view above Alvor's river. A selection of authentic Italian cold cuts, cheese and little bites of food, paired with fine Italian wines. Excellent as a pre-dinner nibble, or to make a whole meal out of it by ord
My wife and I visited Gusto after reading reviews from trip advisor and wanting to try an alternative Italian restaurant. We werenât disappointed my wife had the chefs bruschetta and I had the Italian ham and mozzarella which was amazing, we followed with spaghetti bolognese and I had the gnocchi with truffles and walnut, this has been the best weâve had anywhere, we finished with lemon and chocolate panna cotta and me with the Italian cookies with coffee and also a cheeky wee shot of lemeonchilo. Monica was very welcoming and also her husband, which made the meal a most enjoyable experience all round, and last but not least the view of the sunset was magical. A must to visit when in Alvor.Grazie mille !!!!!

al fresco a deco restaurant inpired in fusion of portuguese and italian flavors. Offering a lovely terrace for relaxing, al fresco is great for families or just a couple
We went here based on TripAdvisor reviews. The food was nice and the quality was reasonable. I think they need a little more variety on the menu regarding pasta. We thought about whether to give 3 or 4 stars but taking into account that is a lot more cheaper than the rest of the restaurants in the area, it deserves a 4.

Ristorante tipico italiano con prodotti tipici e piatti unici da gustare in un ambiente calmo e familiare
Had a pizza and lasagne to share. The lasagne was good but the pizza base was too thick. Wine cost more than the food. Wouldn't visit again. Better Italian restaurant in Alvor.

Coffee bar and restaurant where to chill and enjoy drinks and food italian style...happy hours every afternoon with our special drinks and free kinds smiles
This place has friendly service and is reasonably priced. The menu isnât very imaginative but has the usual âItalianâ options. I didnât have high hopes for the food and the garlic bread with cheese to start wasnât very good, bread barely toasted, rubbery, slimy cheese overly peppered with dried herbs. However our mains were great, really tasty lasagne and a great carbonara washed down with a very palatable house white. Not amazing but not a wasted visit either.
