Locale raccolto e curato, personale gentile e cordiale, piatti squisiti e abbondanti, vini eccellenti. Un pezzo di Toscana in Valle d'Aosta! Merita assolutamente una visita.

Having been to this area a lot we decided to try something new and went to Lo Dzerby, mainly because of the positive reviews. The pictures online don't look very good, but that's Italy...But this place really doesn't deserve to get only 4 and 5 star reviews. The menu consists of typical dishes such as cottechino (boiled sausage), polenta concia (polenta with cheese), salignun (ricotta with herbs) and Zuppa Valdostana. But the level of the dishes is not up to par with many of the other places in the region. Actually, the Zuppa Valdostana was disgusting.I've been coming to this region for ten years now, last year we spend pretty much full time here and I love the local food. But only if cooked well and that's not the case here.Other than that the ambience isn't great. The area and the walk to the place are nice and probably you're better off eating at the fort 50 meters ahead.

We had really good lunch here. It is not easy to spot from the road if you are coming from the old part of town. Lots of local people have lunch there, no doubt because the food is very good. Great salad bar and hot dishes: self service. Very friendly. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hosts. Such a great experience. You feel like you're at grandma's house. From the scrumptious food, to the great wine and the owner's hospitality. Not to be missed

We had a good lunch in this beautifully renovated restaurant at the entrance of the village of Bard .The greeting was quick and in line with the character of the people who live in the mountains ....but the waitress ,probably foreigner was more chatty and kind .The lard from the nearby producer was served with elegance with a wonderful chestnut purée that breaks the saltiness of the lard . Perfectly cooked the soft boiled egg drowned in a tasty and light cheese fondue . Amazing pork fillet ,not too special the cabbage and cod fish sort of sushi which had no flavour and was served in a tiny portion .Good breads and good choice of wines .

The restaurant is simple, but the team is very attentive and the food was great! Delicious!I got a tagliatelle (home made) al ragu (aka Bolongnese) and also a risotto primavera (risotto with vegetables), and as said both were delicious! If you're staying at the hotel don't wast your time looking for another place!!!!

Hidden in the old town of Donnas, this gem is a fantastic place to enjoy some authentic dishes from the Val d'Aosta. The owner is a nice and kind lady. She prepares everything from the starters to the desserts. Try the menu degustazione and do not miss the chocolate cake with mele renette and amaretti. Top!

We stopped here on our way to La Thuile. The locaion is charming: little and quiet village overlooking the white peaks. Restaurant is cozy and staff welcoming. Then came the food: simply great. All ingredients are fresh, dishes are carefully prepared with attention to details. Chefs here propose local materials reinvented through new recipes. Result is excellent: do not miss the meat tartare, that is one of the best I have ever tasted. The hazelnut rabbit was delicious as were all desserts. Accompanying it all with a good Valdostan wine mad it magic. We were also surprised by the bill, as we were prepared to spend at least 30% more. Great food experience!

This is a lovely family-run restaurant where they serve excellent food in a friendly atmosphere, The menu is small (hand-written in a little notebook), presumably because all the food is cooked to order, from scratch. The portions are generous, the food very tasty and the service is always with a smile. And it's very good value. A great little restaurant.
