Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Piacenza. Piacenza [pjaˈtʃɛntsa] listen (help·info) (Emilian-Romagnol: Piasëinsa, Latin: Placentia) is a city and comune in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. It is the capital of the province of Piacenza. Modern forms of the name descend from Latin Placentia. The etymology is long-standing, tracing an origin from the Latin verb placēre, "to please." In French, and occasionally in English, it is called Plaisance. The name means a "pleasant abode", or as James Boswell reported some of the etymologists of his time to have translated it, "comely". This was a name "of good omen."

The location is a 1.700 historical building close to the centre of Piacenza. I appreciated the menu with the right number of courses based on the local products. The tradition mixed with the innovation. The senape icecream on tartar meat is the top.

A new Street Food place, in a very old Buchery. We open every day !! This is a young and smart place, but it is also basic and austere, so, please, don't expect to eat comfortably sitting at the table on a chair. On one side, here you can eat every kind o
We just landed in Milan and our tour guide brought us directly to this small butcher shop for lunch. Claudio was a great host and gave us a memorable welcome to Italy. We had salami and prosciutto with wine while he had some Florentine steaks grilled. The steaks were delicious! We also had some sausages and lamb kebabs. The place is not fancy. It is really a butcher shop with a table or two. The owner and his wife were great hosts and were as much a part of the experience as the food itself. I did not expect to have so much fun and good food in a butcher shop!

My husband and I went based on reviews and we weren't disappointed! Such friendly staff. Full of locals and it's off the beaten path so clearly it's a destination stop away from the busy areas. The food was fantastic- delicious and perfectly prepared. I had the best zucchini flowers and my husband had a delicious pasta and the tripe which he said was extraordinary. Definitely recommend!

Typical trattoria with simple foods of the Piacenza tradition, in the center of the city Rustic local opened in 1966 ,which it has maintained its originality
In a maybe gloomy and foggy day come to this place few steps away from the historical center of Piacenza; remind yourself you are in Emilia Romagna one of the best regions for food in Italy, enter the small restaurant and start dreaming.Small but very cozy has one room at ground floor and one at first floor that is maybe brighter. Menù can be quite extensive with appetizers (we suggest the cold cuts and cheese choice. Pancetta is paradise on earth!!!), primi piatti and secondi piatti mainly meat (vegans here could find themselves in and uncomfortable position...). Most of the dishes are based on local productions, bio or similar philosophy, tastes are strong and satisfaction is guaranteed. staff is friendly, helpful. Being the name "Enoteca" (means wine shop) the choice is quite remarkable. Price is moderate, satisfaction will be at the highest level. Bravi!!!

Lo Fai-Handmade Bar is a place that combines design, music, craft production and Vegan lunch with km 0 ingredients.
Awesome restaurant located in the very city center. It offers tasty and original veggie dishes, gorgeous local wines and delicious pastry. The restaurant is furnished with excellent modern taste, the service is careful and quick, the prices are on average (15-20 euro main course+dessert+wine). In addition to the restaurant, there is a shop which sells handmade jewellery, clothes and design products. Definetely recommended!

Although it looked closed from the outside, this restaurant turned out to be an excellent tripadvisor recommendation. We were about the only people dining, and so the atmosphere was limited, but the setting - ini a pretty courtyard - compensated for this. The food was interesting acorss the menu: a lively array of antipasti, and some imaginative twists on the standard primi. The pasta stuffed with ham was delicious, and my sife said the same of her gnocchi. The wine list is extensive - lots of local wines, with a sensible price range - and we were able to get a very good bottle of Gutturnio for about 10 euros or so.

Well done pizzas and marvelous arancione. Friendly service and good selection of beers. Opening hours shouldn't make any problems Highly recommend for 'it's to late to grab anything' situations

great service, great quality and great price....This place is exactly what you want from a restaurant, its really fast really friendly and really relaxed...the only minor complaint i have is that i would have liked a drinks menu as i would have ordered a draft beer rather than a bottled beer.but that said i will be returning defo.

I was brought up to judge food by pasta yet here the 2nd dish, the pork (maiale), was above superb! The whole experience was superb thanks to Simone, the guy in charge. He welcomed me and endured my poor Italian and with an excitement unparalleled led me through a very memorable meal. Pear dessert was also fantastic. I've never done this before but I could be back tonight!!!

A bit far from the town centre, but an absolute gem of a restaurant!Seafood is king here, but it's hard to choose as all the dishes are tempting...We had fish carpaccios for starters, and then a shrimp risotto, which was devine, all washed down with a delicious locally produced organic white wine. The waiter was very friendly, and the restaurant was spacious and nicely decorated. An eating experience that we are not likely to forget! :)
